Apology first is a proper thing to do rather than blaming on the co road user. Nowadays most of us are having full insurance coverage on the accidents and any damage to your vehicle can be claimed and we don't have shell out much from our pocket. Most important one is the safety of us and the co road users. I recollect a recent event where I and another car wanted to enter the busy main road and we both collided. We communicated each other by signal and parked our cars safely by the side of the road. Initially I was angry and when i saw the car with his family I apologized to the lady and the children and started speaking to the gentleman. We both inspected our cars and the damage was a bit extensive. We both were trying to prove our own side of the fact and blame the other. At one point I said whatever it may be let it be my fault and I apologized. Immediately he became very cool and said thank god nothing happened to us. We both decided to claim insurance for the damages. We shared the mobile numbers and shook hands and left. Before that I apologized to his family again. The next day i asked if he has reached his destination safely and he said yes and thanked me. He proved that he is a gentleman and we both avoided a bitter fight and a violent road rage. I was able to repair my car and its as good as new now.

Very useful video both for the new as well as experienced drivers. I feel that over a period of time as we drive more, we mellow down enough to avoid a road rage. Watching your video really speeds up this process. I have noticed another cause for rash driving in highways. Whenever, a lady driver overtakes, that pumps up the adrenaline in some people. Now a days only decliplined driving needs more patience. Whenever I take right turns into another road, it has been my habit to take a bigger radius. These days I am looking a very odd type of driver there. But still "Be disciplined, even if you are alone" should be our motto. My appreciations to you Asir. In India we different categories of road users have only a single forward lane road for say scooters, bike, auto rickshaw, hatch back, sedan. suv, utility vehicles, trucks and buses. A biker / smaller vehicle user don''t understand the difficulty of a bigger vehicle, for instance a biker honks behind a loaded truck and it makes no sense. Likewise bigger vehicles don''t give value for smaller vehicles as we see lorries plying in speed track in a four lane road. Likewise bikers/ auto rickshaws overtaking from left hand side and cutting has become a practice for many. As you said live.let live mindset is needed while on road.

Let's say If we drive your vehicle in Chennai with PY, TN 30 and above registered # vehicle, people will try to dominate you if their vehicle is Chennai registration... and people in non-urban places they won't allow you to overtake them even though they drive two-wheelers...

people get high power vehicles and drive with poor efficiency on highways, it is not about driving with good skills but drive efficiently according to your vehicle stats. If you have a bmw you need to drive accordingly. Most road rage i have faced so far is because of inefficient driving. They will follow all rules but still be inefficient. One more thing i notice is these huge helmets which block horn sounds on cut roads and they never give way. Helmets are useful but still most have a phone fixed inside as well. And most times on highways people drive slow or use the fast lane for leisure driving. It really gets into you. A simple way to remember to avoid congestion and become a better driver is to follow 'KEEP LEFT' rule. The more efficient you follow the better your driving skills will be.

On behalf of motowagon and along with my personal experience, pls use high beams wisely in single lane SH and village roads... At vridhachalam SH,there is no reflectors,and due to blindness(created by high beams of opp vehicles),my car's suspension system is almost gone to RIP due to more number of potholes(somewhat bigger potholes). After gone to service station,they said that my car's lower arm and knuckle(a part of front wheel suspension system) is damaged and it costed nearly 7,500. I,as a car driver,use high beams only if needed and not irritated opposite vehicles at night time....

Bro on peak summers inside city, I will never engage in any talks with bikers, even if mistake is on the other side. Given the heat these bikers are exposed, they generally become quite hot headed even for a small incident or horns from behind. As you say, being courteous on the road is the best way to stay away from all problems. We should appreciate the issues faced by people traveling under hot conditions. Also on superiority complex, many car owners complain about bikers without realizing the fact that we're once bikers in their young days. Bikers are being looked down by many, which is unfair.

One day on my road trip, one fellow dashed my car front bumper. I get tensed. His family members are scolded him for that incident. But I didnt spare a single word.
