I see so many drivers who don't know how to negotiate round abouts. Even going counterclockwise around the circle. Here's the scoop. If you're about to enter a roundabout, you must yield to vehicles that are already in the circle If it's a two lane circle and you need to change lanes to make your exit, you have to make sure that lane is clear. If the lane is not clear, don't panic. Go around again. Don't force your way into an occupied lane.

The best approach would have been for both parties to stay where they were, exchange contact information and wait for the police to arrive. The kid shouldn't have approached the defendant because the defendant could have had a gun or knife on him. It's dangerous and it could've been tragic.

Someone chases your car down and starts attacking your car...They are not right in the head and you would be forgiven thinking this person would harm you. You would think though that the courts arresting and convicting his son would clue him in that they were more in the wrong. Yea, if I had to guess, little dude was driving normally and had to switch lanes because a car was stopped. The dad wasn't paying attention and attempted to go because he only saw a parked car (for some reason) and thought little dude cut him off when he actually had the right of way. Dad freaked out, started shouting, little dude threw coffee, kid jumped out to attack and dad pinned in little dude to stop him from leaving. If little dude didn't throw the coffee, he'd likely be seen as the victim instead of antagonizing things someone with anger issues.

Rotary circle laws / rules change based on what state you're in which is stupid. It should be universal. It makes the most sense for people inside the circle have the right of way, and people entering need to yield to those already inside.

I am suspect to any testimony when his sons age was misconstrued so it could make the defendant look worse. I thin the defendant is telling the truth. The young man let out some details. The man and his son are lying. I think the kid opened the door as he was passing. If headlight was busted the man hit the door, I still think it was done accidently because the son opened the door 50% fault, if not all on the kid. The defendant should have his car fixed. The son should pay for it all. I think the Judge adjudicated correctly. IMO.

I don't think JM detests any other case more than roadrage cases. I knew right from the start she wouldn't be awarding either litigant anything. Drivers need to realize roadrage in today's day is a very dangerous game to play. Definitely not worth the aggravation or possible consequences. Also, just a bit of advice for any driver reading this, get a dash cam! Too often, car accidents become a he said she said situation and at times is really hard to prove who truly was at fault. Dash cams can be really inexpensive and save you a lot of time, stress, and money!

It's always something you can actually prevent with a simple action. I mean, you can probably prevent things like mold and whatnot as well, but that's a little bit more complicated vs simply ignoring a driver who's messing with you or keeping your dog on a leash while outside.

So many Americans don't know how to use roundabouts. What amazes me about these cases is no one brings a picture or Google Maps satellite image of the location in question. Admittedly might not have made a difference here, but would save all the time arguing about whether the drawing is right or wrong. Here, I'm inclined to believe the defendant as to who was initially at fault. Even in the plaintiff's version of events, plaintiff should have yielded to traffic already in the circle.
