The mother needs to hold the daughter accountable!

Never gonna happen. The mom had the same "I tried nothing and I'm all out of options" mentality. The daughter was likely driving under the influence without a license, crashed a car and others, while lying to the police and the mom still thinks it's not their problem. My folks aren't violent but if I did half of that, I'd wake up to find most of my shit being sold to pay for those bills.

@alanolson691310 ай бұрын
I was a drug /alcohol & mental health counselor with Drug Court (Superior Court). The class the daughter was court ordered to attend was more than likely ADIS (alcohol/drug information school). It’s an 8 hour class done all in one day on a Saturday. It’s for folks with their first DUI. If the individual completes this course, a copy of the graduation certificate is sent to the court that ordered the class. The client is then returned their license (a paper copy until the new license is issued). The DUI goes on the driving record. If there are any more driving violations involving drugs or alcohol, they then can be court ordered to get an assessment and are to follow the facility’s guidelines. Quite a mess because someone decides to drink and drive.

The defendant should pay for the entire thing, driving on suspended license and then wrecking it, and acting like oh well that's really a terrible way to be.

Please do not judge every individual in this age range by this young woman's conduct. There are many hard working, responsible, caring young people out there. Our son is 22 yrs old, works part-time, goes to university full-time, paid off his own truck loan at 20, my husband co-signed, we never had to pony up, he's never been in legal trouble, no police antics, just a great kid ... it does happen!

@@mikesteele05 Exactly. The mother has a cavalier and entitled attitude about everything. The apple never falls far from the tree. Children either EXCEED the parent's character flaws, or rebel against them. We can clearly see what happened here.

Irresponsible people. Like mother like daughter. Great example. Letting her daughter drive her vehicle with a suspended license. I so hope the other vehicle collected on her insurance. And the nonchalant attitudes are despicable.

These defendants are great contenders for winning first place in the WSEE-Championship ( “When Stupidity Equals Entitlement”. And it’s a mother-daughter-team at that! My daughter is 25 yrs old and she is not some saint, but she certainly has more sense of responsibility, intelligence, integrity and common sense in her than these two combined! And as expected:the mom is making excuses for her daughter and clearly created the useless monster that she has become. Mother should be deeply ashamed of the (non-)job she did raising this entitled ‘princess’! As a parent your job is loving, helping and guiding your children so they can become well functioning, responsible, self-confident, kind, smart, empathetic and contributing members of society! This sad excuse for a ‘Mom’ failed her daughter on every level! The daughter might not see it like that now (likely scenario). But one day, maybe years from now, both (!) of her brain cells find a way to temporarily work simultaneously! That will de facto instantly double her intelligence for that brief moment. And just maybe she’ll THEN understand, that she was handed a really bad deal by mommy dear who approved every single thing she ever did !

14:12 - This young lady's mom isn't mad at her because she knew her daughter was using it regularly. She said, "for her to go to work." I call B.S. on the "only to work" thing. She was well aware of daughter's use, probably constantly. Anyway, Doug, that's why she's not angry about it. 14:25 - Here you find the daughter making excuses, parroting Mom's influence, keeping her daughter from responsibility. Parents, stop protecting you kids like this. "These things happen" because they can. She wouldn't have had the accident if she wasn't driving. She wouldn't have been driving if she didn't drive without a license. She wouldn't be without her license if she hadn't done what she did to lose it. Warrants, license revoked, and according to mom, she had no knowledge which indicates, what? That mom is lying or the daughter stole the vehicle (no authorization to drive outside of the pre-arranged agreement, which was to go to work.)
