I have a friend who mounted a bottle for the oil vent to go into. Not only does it keep it from air filter but you can monitor how much is spewing out. I have a '75 and it sumps out on me all the time but it has a different oil pump then you I think. Just reseated the ball in the check valve on mine but still havnt got it on the road yet to see if that helped. Keep us posted on what your issue turns out to be and I'm glad you had a good trip otherwise.

That engine was designed to vent to atmosphere via a metal tube directing crankcase pressure toward the ground. Your plugs are probably fouled due to excess oil being dumped into your breather. I'm surprised you made it as far as you did. Reroute the breather correctly, throw a new set of plugs in, and you should be good to go. Cheers, mate. 👍
