Hi, new sub here! Loved your reaction to Gigi De Lana and Gigi Vibes’ version of Unholy…honestly, I like this better than Sam Smith’s original. I’m all about the rock vibe they put out here, which makes it so much more gritty and complimentary to the lyrics. Her growls and the band’s musicianship were all on point. Im not sure if you are aware of this, but this video was just a snippet from a 2+ hour livestream they did, and what’s amazing is that this was a live request from their viewers making it an impromptu performance. Crazy, right?!!! Would love to see you do more reactions to Gigi Vibes…check out their versions of Through the Fire/Piano In the Dark, Fly Me to the Moon and Better Days…where she again changes them up and showcases her vocal abilities. She is the Philippines’ current queen of all genres…rock, alternative, r&b, pop, jazz, bossa nova, rap, country, disco, folk, etc…she can do it all. If you dive into their channel, you will see all the different covers they’ve done along with their own original songs. She’s an in-demand artist in the Philippines right now. They’ve been busy the last year performing at concerts and events all over the country as well as in the US and Middle East. I think she sounds like a mix of Karen Carpenter, Amy Winehouse, Hayley Williams, Alanis Morissette, and Mariah Carey (without the whistle) all into one voice. Never listened to anything by Sam Smith and not going to start now but the covers I've heard of this are phenomenal! Just heard this version today on a reaction by Peter Barber of the Bass Gang. There are also great versions of it by Tomi P of the Bass Gang and a metal version by Jonathan Young and Lauren Babic. Although I'm not a fan of his, I kinda get you in feeling the Marilyn Manson vibe from that one section.

You're missing a lot about this one of a kind talent. Gigi is a different animal compared to Morissette. Mori is great but Gigi is the much more versatile one.Gigi has more sides in comparison to Mori.And she covers more genre than any other singer old or new you name it she has it on her repertoire.Her phenomenal chameleon voice allows her to sing just about anything anyway you want.
