90% of week 3 bench session. Variations performed was Benchpress, Benchpress with bands, kaz press, cable flys, front and side raises and incline lat pull down. Just know I did this video for the people who didn’t want to hear background music. It made the workout rough.

Baby Tanya And that’s the thing. Lifting (properly/ and sometimes a cringe-worthy PR) is an accomplishment. Two 45’s on each side IS an accomplishment. It means your body has thus become conditioned well enough to stabilize 225 lbs-not a slouch by any means. It’s the benchmark of weight training. And it’s USUALLY the crossroad point in your lifting (life we’ll say), if you want to just kinda hang around that weight or start kicking it up and go for more. Weight training is a great motivator in life.

I remember back in my days when I was trying to Max out 405, I will prepare for that by also doing negatives with about 415. I wonder Julius if you try doing negatives with 800?

@ryan rogers I just wondered because it always helped me break through any goals I wanted to reach because i mentally got used to the weight i wanted to reach, but then again I never trained as a power lifter are either so.

Yisra_el_awakening_400 recovering from a 400lb Bench will be a lot easier than a 800lb bench. Have to think about the fatigue build up. That’s why when you see a lot of top lifters they don’t lift very high frequency. Especially the bigger bodied lifters. You will notice aswell he has a deload week every fourth week. Can’t keep that up for that long. Hope that helped!

Yisra_el_awakening_400 same difficulty yes. But fatigue no. Two different things. Like I said they don’t train as frequently as bodybuilders. The fatigue and volume would make you burn out a lot quicker.

@@lewsaboy1645 Okay, that's key info. Didn't know that they didn't train as frequent. I knew they trained lower reps for max power, but didn't know that.
