This series means a lot to me as a child watching Disney Channel. I loved the King family and Rachel Lynde calling Felcity out as a bully was a good thing

Avonlea is very comforting, the DVDs soothe me at bedtime. You can watch it over & over and it's all good. Like little house on the prairie only way better. Disney needs to replay these on TV.

Wish we could have good family shows like this on major TV channels now days. Like how this aired on the Disney Channel in the US.

I really wish that children of today had shows like this to watch. I live in the southern part of the United States so I don't know if there shows like this that are in Canada butt there's nothing like this in the US. I honestly think it would be much more enriching television then the stuff that the kids watch today down here.

Oh you live in the south?? oh cool!! where? I’ve always wanted to live in Texas Or Louisiana I’m seriously thinking about moving there myself being a California girl I’m kind of tired of it here maybe one of these days I’ll move to Dallas, or Tennessee sounds good or South Carolina- I just want out of here I’m sure it’s much better where you’re at More wholesome more family oriented not so much here and I’m not liking it

I always thought that this was the Canadian Little House on the Prairie, but definitely much much better in quality and heart! The writing and acting was the best!

Anne of Green Gable is a very beautiful film made from the game of two young people and all the environments as described in the book are quite authentic and masterful, I like Marrilla too

Some of my earliest memories is of the Anne movies and Avonlea (as it was called here). Thank you for the years of memories and creating a longing for a time and place I’ve never been.
