My Grandfather..Huge thanks to Jan Nimmo & Machrihanish Online for all their work in all of this. It's a joy to find him here. He would be delighted. I remember spending Sunday afternoons, as a wee lassie visiting his best friend in the village of Drumlemble, outside Campbeltown. He wrote countless songs, but this is the one that people favour. It was actually written in 1948.. It's amazing to hear it still. I feel a great pride when I hear it. Thanks everyone.. Xx
