Hey Levy, We love this road to GM series because we love you man. You introduced so many of us to this sport and watching you compete in tournaments feels just like if we were watching an older brother play in some big state championship. When you win, we win, when you lose we're here with you! You got this man. It's gonna be a crazy story. If you read this turn off your screen and get some sleep.

Levy, You and Anna have both not only inspired me to learn how to play chess in my 30's, but you've also ignited a new unknown love within. I'm not going to sit here and say that you shouldn't feel bad for losing, you're 100% right to feel however you wanna feel. I simply want to cheer you up by thanking you for helping me learn this beautiful yet ruthless game. I will forever have this newfound passion for chess thanks to you! *Triumphant as the GM title may be, between creating Chessly, dominating the youtube chess sphere, and inspiring an entire generation of future GM's, you are one of the greatest, regardless of title, period!*

Longer time viewer here and since 2020 I've watched at least 90% of your videos. Mad respect to you for doing your thing and staying a decent human being in the process. I can't imagine how hard and frustrating it must be to show off your losses that way. Please don't lose your joy in chess or faith in yourself. You did a great job so far, handling the nerves comes with experience. I know you can do it, you're not missing anything on the theory front. You prove that to us in all those years already. Don't choke about some losses getting back into the real grind, while essentially covering jobs for three people at least with everything you do.

Levy, you’ve shown lots of talent and won plenty of impressive chess games. Your biggest opponent is you. I don’t think you’re gonna get the GM title without overcoming yourself, and like a tennis player or NHL goaltender, half the battle is staying mentally sharp no matter what. Your belief in you has to come back, as it should. You’re clearly a very talented chess player. So many top athletes, especially those who find themselves in tough situations (like being the last guy back, goaltending, or being in a 1v1 the entire time anyways, like chess or tennis) see sports therapists for that reason. And they’ve been famously successful afterwards. Whatever it takes, because you have the ability and talent, so focus on this title because once you have it, you’ll feel so relieved and accomplished. Over the years, every time you mention it, I can tell it weighs on you a bit. This is something you want, and most importantly, something you feel you can achieve. Don’t let yourself be your biggest opponent. And good luck.

I'm no where near qualified enough to give chess advice but I do have a lot of life experience and one thing I've learned is that our general ability as humans to regroup and cover from almost anything is remarkable. Looking forward to seeing you get to the finish line.

Hey Levy, I just want you to know that you were my inspiration to improve at chess when I was like a 1000. Now I'm a 1600 after about 2 years of playing and if you then told me I would be a 1600 I'd be like: No way I'm gonna be this good. So I know what it's like to have a goal you think is extremely hard to achieve, especially when you're losing some games in a row, but there are going to be a lot of amazing games you are going to win and sooner or later you are going to achieve your goal. Just remember that at least thousands of people believe that you can become a GM. You just have to find some mental strenghth to believe in yourself and not to give up. And I wish you best of luck in future games and thank you for being my inspiration.

The road to GM is not going to be easy and you will face setbacks. You know better than anyone that it’s those setbacks which you learn the most from. You are an elite chess player playing some of the best in the world. These players have been extremely tough but I still believe half your battle is the mental game and trusting your instincts. You’re also better at chess than 99.99% of your audience so please keep that in mind before caring what others have to say. You’ll always have my support and I believe in you.
@kavya7090Сағат бұрын
Hi Levy. My story is similar to many others, it was through your channel that I have been introduced to chess. I was born blind, so a lot of chess resources are inaccessible to me. But blindness does not stop me from enjoying your videos and also learning from them. Thanks to you, I've started both watching and learning to play chess which has become an important part of my life lately. I can't really tell you not to feel bad about any of your losses, that's impossible. All I can say is, if you see this, please try and remember your wins as well. You've had some pretty bad defeats, but you have also had some great victories against some of the world's best players. The road to GM is a long one, but I truly believe you can get there eventually. Remember that through all the ups and downs, you have people who genuinely support you whatever happens, and won't abandon you even when you start to make mistakes. Finally, I wanted to thank you. Thank you for everything you do in your videos and your courses, and all your efforts to make chess less intimidating and more entertaining. Good luck with the rest of your tournament and all future games you play.

The worst thing you can do is focus on when you're having a bad run. This applies to anything you do in life. When you focus too much on how you're not doing well, that's brainpower taken away from moving on and doing better. We all know you got this, Levy. This year, next year, or in 5 years. Alright I’m boutta go off Levy. Firstly, I love the content bro. From The brainrot to Chessly. BUT. I agree with Hikaru’s latest video AND I agree with you. I have no idea what it would feel like to constantly see a flow of clips of GMs I respect constantly judging my performance. And I doubt I could handle that. But Hikaru said, any amount of social media interaction during a tournament will ever lead to a positive outcome. I think you have to ask yourself “is being a GM maybe worth stepping back from content creation and the s-storm that is social media?” That’s a question only you can answer. Lord knows that to satisfy the algorithm gods you have to constantly be uploading. I only say this because WE’RE rooting for YOU big dog. If you decide to try to burn the candle at both ends, I’ll continue to watch your videos. If you decide to step away and grind it out, I’ll try to be here when you get back. We want YOU to be fulfilled. Whether it is a chess content creator or an esteemed GM. You got this man.

Tough loss man. I know it's not the same but I've been losing so much for the last year. I'm not playing anywhere near my potential. And the more the losses stack up...the more I lose to lower and lower rated opponents...the losses carry more and more weight. Now imagine knowing my struggles and journey were being watched, criticized and scrutinized by many millions...I cant even imagine lol You are a very psychologically affected player like myself. With your money I highly recommend spending some money on a high end sports psychologist. I think you would crush after working with one
