Hey Martial, I took your advice. You said in one of your videos that we should all try Jiu Jitsu or some kind of training and I was doubtful at first but it’s been 3 weeks since I started and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Just wanted to thank you for being the one who helped me discover one of my passions. Keep up the awesome content :)

How do you remember all the info?😅 They teach us everything at my camp.
@TheBPortilho26 күн бұрын
@MarvelousMiller I've done martial arts for a long time now and started jiujitsu a few years ago. My personal recommendation is that you understand the movement as opposed to memorising what your instructor says. For example: when setting the armbar, instead of trying to remember to bring your legs over and not cross your ankles, understand you have to control the posture. Really helped me.
@mangutero19125 күн бұрын
@@MarvelousMillerI’ve got good memory but I try to use everything we learn when rolling, that way I remember what to use when in different positions. In my gym it’s 1.5 hours of straight technique then it’s 30 minutes of rolling. I try to have a technique I want to practice in mind before rolling, usually something I just learned.

Mind if I ask how old you are? I've been contemplating starting for like 2 months now, but I'm 24 and I feel like maybe it'll be kinda weird coming in with zero experience at that age
@mangutero19119 күн бұрын
@@TroubleOnTheWatersIm 22, there is someone at my gym who started at 62 and just became a black belt at 73. So I think its something anyone can do at any age.

Maybe instead of building ga on the ground oh punching you could instead gain ga by moving. Like shrimping in side control or bridging in mount and the ga is built by how much distance you create. Also make get ups near the cage easier

I think the way to beat that style bro is the way you played Naz in that 1st fight. You pushed him back and really used the jab to setup your combos. Although he figured that out and started slipping the jab in the 2nd and 3rd fights lol...But I dont think most of the people imitating him will be able to make that adjustment the way he did.

@manlikedreckel925226 күн бұрын
@martial hope you see this, I would argue that rather that when you face the naz striking pattern your matchups haven’t given you a chance to be able to counter act it as well as you would, the times you’ve faced it your opponent has had better striking damage than you. Something you should think about

You really should try bettering your leg kicks and when you use them. A guy who’s heavy on head movement and is clearly well aware of counter punches coming his way always leaves himself open for leg kicks. Once you start landing the leg kicks in exchanges instead of attempting with punches it’ll open him up for landing those counter punches way easier. 💯👌🏼
