I have to say I really like how your scale 2-3 truck is coming along the fact that you were able to add rear steer to it and make it so that it can be on or off . When you look at the other scale trucks that are out there they don’t have any more bed than your truck does. Your scale Brazzing cage work has definitely come a long way compared to last time. Great looking truck Matt I can’t wait to see the completed version .

Matt Yes, time is ticking away. For the interior question. If you have time do it. Otherwise skip it. If you do accomplish it, don't go over board with details. That only eats up time. Then focus on the must have items. Just my novice opinion. Either way your vehicle's will look awesome and others will certainly point that out. Your management of the wiring A++ man. When you swap axle's the only possible snag I see is losing hardware/strip threads. But this isn't your first rodeo so I'm sure you've got that covered. I'm enjoying the journey thanks!!!

As you said you’re going to have problems with the rear steer axle hitting those bars. You could just consider having a separate set of wheels and tires for it to run class 3 with wider slw hubs. Increase your track width too. Or just bring wider slw hubs and change them out while your changing the rear axle.
@iviper2004

The comps near me tend to not care about having pointed out class 2 rigs. They set a minimum of like 6 scale items/points, then once you reach that goal you vehicle meets the comp requirements and they don't tally up the total points at all. If I did a comp where points mattered in class 2, then I would definitely go with an interior.
@garycooper1162
@garycooper1162 2 жыл бұрын
Rigs are coming along very nicely. I personally just do thin styrene interiors just enough to get the scale points and also light weight. Doesn't need to be pretty to get those points and still function. Also on the front of your class 2/3 rig I would cut down the chassis a little that way when you mount the front bumper your tires hit the rocks before the bumper this helps a lot with approach angle.

Comps really aren't my thing, burned a few many times going to an event and spending 90% of my time standing around because most people had a vehicle in every class and some had two. The last event I went to, in two of the four classes the same guy raced himself, kind of kills the experience. So I just build for fun. But the drop bed fuel cell setup is really well done.

Hey man you doubt yourself way to much, your rigs are super meticulate im all kinds of aspects to your own taste and that's all that matters in a hobby, I wish I had half the talent/patience you show case on your channel... Now that being said, what are the chances you could share the lengths of those custom links because I'm building my first lcg/comp crawler from scratch with g-speed chassis rails and I'm using AR-44 axles, I guess I'm just asking for a length of upper and lowers front and rear as a base / starting point and I'll tell her it out from there, and if not no biggie your channel is awesome you little rigs are awesome and you really really really really are showing the RC world on how to film these little break and had a trick people into making them think they're real on TV or computer kudos to you

@@scalebuildersguild I found a really cool body to use but sadly it didn’t come with a dash, the one your using looks close to a copy of what’s in my gladiator. Can’t wait to see how your build turns out.

It is my understanding that this is a scale crawler competition……so you should compete with a scale truck…..that would include a Full scale interior. Am I wrong?

George Lucas didn't put a full interior in the Millennium Falcon, just enough to cover what you can see. That said, I do put interiors in 1 and 2, but nothing in 3.
