After seeing the TV show Most dangerous roads in the world, I had to try it myself...

Is possible to drive there without a 4x4?

teoreticaly yes, but I would never do it. Take a real 4x4 with good tyres, and it is no problem...

Don’t, the amount of cars we saw stuck there even during summer. Also the weather can change while you’re up there making the road undriveable with a regular car to go back down. We saw some people who where stuck in Ushguli.
