I admire what you and your colleagues do for keeping this country alive. You have my respect as long haul trucking is important to keep the general public comfortable and the long times you spend away from your loved ones . You guys are the unsung heros of this great nation. Drive safe.

Interesting to see how your controls differ slightly from hours over here in the states. Appreciate you taking the time to make this video.

Thanks Eric. I watch a few truckers from the states too so I see a few differences.

Ideas for a couple of videos, caravan and truck etiquette, and use of the VHF radio
@Wayne-Pr9 ай бұрын
It's actually UHF CB, not VHF.

How many gears have your truck's got?, please show us changes them until the top gear, and how many horn patterns have got your truck?, tje last question is what are the speed limits in australia for heavy and the light vehicles categories thanks a lot
@RoadTrainAdventures9 ай бұрын
I have 18 gears. I only have one horn nose. I never blew it on the videos. Trucks are speed limited to 100km/h.

You forgot to mention the Radio's, The Top one is a TX4500 UHF CB & The Bottom one is an AM only 27Mhz CB. Does anyone use the old 27Mhz CB on channel 8 anymore or all on UHF CB channel 40?
@RoadTrainAdventures9 ай бұрын
That's in every truck so I didn't think about them. If course must trucks don't have the 27Meg anymore. I don't know if anyone uses that anymore.

(Yes,I watch your videos and I see that the T909 is a real truck and the European and American trucks are toys compared to the T909.Yes,by the way I have also been driving trucks in Europe for 20 years .I'm from Poland.Is the Kenworth T909 noisy compared to e.g.Volvo? I mean soundproofing the cabin.I already said that your videos are nice to watch and that you are a reai profesional.These repairs on the road, revering with a kit,are not easy to do.Precise reversing.
@RoadTrainAdventures9 ай бұрын
Thanks Rafal. Volvo maybe a little quieter inside but I still prefer my truck. I started out driving Volvo for years. The T909 is so much smoother on the road due to it being a liner wheel base. It's like driving a big car.

Can you please explain more about the gauge telling you the weight on the diffs....
@RoadTrainAdventures9 ай бұрын
It's just a rough weight on either side of the drive axles. It's usually accurate to about 1 ton difference.

she sounds so good and shee is so highly geared, I'm guessing she's a 4.11 ratio
@RoadTrainAdventures9 ай бұрын
I forget. 4.34 or 4.56
@marklawrence77919 ай бұрын
Not obvious from the video. Do you have manual or automatic gearing?
