Fascinating how little right-of-way they acquired for the Turnpike. The metal fence is not much protection from oncoming traffic. Seems to be the style for the New York Thruway and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, among other iconic roads.

I-95 has been through a lot over the years. Since September 2018, I-95 is a continuous freeway from Florida to Canada. Also, Maine Craft sounds like Minecraft, a sandbox gaming platform.

How to get more toll money from visitors- Maine edition: 1. Sign Portland as the primary control city on I-95/Maine Turnpike instead of the more direct I-295

@@NWIndianaElevators I’m still a little confused about the tolls. When you first get on I-295, as we did going northbound, there’s a toll gantry. Is that toll for I-295, or just the exit toll for I-95? If you take I-95 north and I guess the Falmouth spur over to Portland, is the toll higher?

@@504RoadTrips The exit toll for I-95 (or as the Maine Turnpike calls it "the I-295 Connector")... And yes, the tolls are HIGHER if you get off at either the I-295 or the Falmouth spur than getting off at the South Portland exit (exit 45)!

Nice Drive I will never see this in person I am going to get nosey how much does the I95 trip cost. Those tar strips look neat on camera

In tolls, or how much did this series cost us? The tolls totaled out at around $100 for the entire length of I-95. The actual combined trips that we took to make the series probably cost us upwards of $2000 if you include all of the gas, food, coffee, hotels (about half of which are comped on the Hilton Honors program) , a catastrophic tire failure along the way, etc. And that's not figuring in the time off of work.
