Great video as always! Love to drive in Europe, but get so frustrated with British roads when I get home again! By the way the Fiat was a Barcetta and they were only made in left hand drive.

Thanks for taking us along on your mini vacation. Loved the vids of the waterfalls. Glad you're doing a more relaxed trip home. Your last marathon drive back to England wore me out! 🤣

Thank you, as ever I love going along on your road trips. It feels like you are part of the family now. I hope your wife has a sense of humour, with you discussing her toilet stops.

As a Porsche owner I really enjoyed watching this. We also do a couple of European road trips a year so recognise a lot of the locations 👍

Nice car journey again. But I'm sorry to tell you, that you missed out, beeing already there: The most sensational ad adventurous day trip,( Besides the Eiger North face) Europe has to offer. The trip from Chamonix with the gondola to the Aiguille du Midi, wich is a vey pointy needle near the Mont blanc summit and from there on a 5 km span over the Glacier Valley Blanche to Italy and back. You go from green summer to ice age in one day and back. Airplane like vistas for hundreds of km! The constant feeling of your mind just cannot follow, what's happening. Here, the overrated vocabulary unbelievable finds a true grounding. A Day, you wiould never forget your whole life. Next time do it!!!! Best time: outside skiing and summer season.

I share your enthusiasm for a long road trip, this year I drove from Menton on the French / Italian border near Monaco to Nottinghamshire just stopping for fuel and comfort breaks, its a very easy drive in a modern motor car.

That red was for the cross traffic.

Only just come across your channel. Found it because I'm looking for inspiration for a Europe road trip in 2025. Went to Italy 2 years ago, similar route to you. Innsbruck, Florence, Cinque Terres, Annecy then home. Considering Portugal Spain in June.

The village is la Salle (pronounced Sall, in french even in italy), this side of Italy is french speaking Piedmont.

I love driving too. Anyone in the car that isn't the driver ends up board after a while, and the shifting in the seat to be comfortable. When you're driving, you feel alive, and you're noticing the sensations you feel in your backside, in your fingertips, etc. You feel the G's on a bend, it's exhilarating.

Yup, being a smarty at a border can lead to a very bad day. Mid 1985 seen a VW Westphalia completely disassembled going into Spain as his, at the time very entitled, Wife had mouthed off at the Border Guards. Completely gutted including the popup. I helped the fellow for a few hours. She was absolutely terrified as the Spanish Police kept walking over to give her stink eye ever 30 mins or so. Heard from the chap a year later, wife had absolutely change her outlook and they were very happy from there on.

Just a suggestion to include in your road trip videos, vehicle stats. What MPG or Ltr/100 did you get and what was your average speed? It’s not very often that a Porsche is overtaken by trucks on the motorway 😂
@eSysmanTech3 ай бұрын
I'll try to include that in future videos. I have done that before and made full lists of all the costs. FYI always best to slow down when talking to camera.

That area around Aosta , Courmayeur is lovely though the food in this area i,m not so keen. Yes its funny that they search and question you to enter the UK yet the invaders have none of this! Mad.

Why there's british police control at Calais on french territory? By plane from Paris to London the british police control and customs are in London and not in Paris!!
@eSysmanTech3 ай бұрын
The same reason there are French customs/police in the UK when you travel in the other direction. To speed up the transit. So you don't have to clear customs on each side.

We converted to metric in the seventies but on the roads we kept MPH, so that's why the mixed up metrics.
