The company is total rubbish. I was stupid and tried to order this for my mom’s Acura(I have an OBDEleven formy VW that is GREAT)& somehow at checkout I ended up buying some software that dosent even include the scanner. I spent $118. I clicked the “Premium Package which “includes a free SCANNER” & somehow days Later after asking about said scanner delivery…they told me “a refund is not possible”…but “ I can get 10% off the scanner”…absolutely RIDICULOUS. I’m currently trying to get refund via PAYPAL however CARLY keeps saying “once I’ve bought software a refund is not possible”…not only have I not downloaded any “software”…I don’t even know where to download it from. And it would be WORTHLESS because I don’t have the scanner. And all this after spending a few days making sure they don’t keep charging me every year….i thought that was the main issue with this company…but it’s bad all around

How do you unlock features that are supposed to be hidden. I've seen various people unlock features on their cars. But no-one shows how to do this
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
Because for the most part it doesn't work. Many cars are unable to access this feature. It's clearly something they are pushing when KZbinr's do adverts in an attempt to get people to buy them.

Thank you for all this valuable information, especially the electronics. I do not like to be tracked and traced, so my phone stays home. Not their biz where I go. But now they have taken this to a whole new level. And the lane control thing? Like you said, dangerous. Obviously, they have never test driven one of these on I-95 in the Ft. Lauderdale or Miami area.
@z06van21Ай бұрын
What they REALLY need to do is lose the strut rear suspension design on the Cayman and Boxter. PORSCHE IF YOU ARE WATCHING , STRUTS DO NOT BELONG ON THE REAR AXLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Re the electric 718. Are you reporting on hearsay or have you actually confirmed the information with Porsche? I’m guessing the former.

No need to guess I said in the video that it was rumored to be the case.

Just binged all your videos of this build...love the build! I'm curious about your instrument cluster. Did you do a full swap of the instrument cluster and reprogram the mileage? Or did you just change the gauge faces with the RS ones? And how about the needles? I think it's GT3/GT2s that come with yellow needles vs the red. Where did you source those? Thanks!
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
I had custom gauge faces made. Then I bought a GT3 cluster and swapped out the needles. I also bought a separate centre stopwatch thing on the top of the dash that had a yellow needle.
@marcmakes1725Ай бұрын
The "next generation" Apple CarPlay has a lot of potential for customization of the dash but with the new push for more buttons I'm wondering if there may be some manufactures delaying that a bit and working out integration. For electric a Boxster could be fantastic but even better would be a hybrid 911, with analog buttons of course. They could use the gas electric setup where a gas motor powers a generator running the electric drive. You get the range of gas, the efficiency and performance of electric all at a lower total weight with fewer batteries. It's how gas turbine trains work and Edison Motors in Canada is doing a big rig on that kind of platform and I believe Dodge is going to use the concept in a new Charger.
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
The new 911 is a hybrid just not the way a traditional hybrid works. The electric motor is just to eliminate turbo lag.

Same as many products pushed by “influencers” on KZbin. So many turn out to be not quite what they seem. Companies using crafty marketing by getting KZbinrs to market their products as people “trust” the KZbinrs they follow far too much. People need to understand KZbinrs are not your friends. They do it to make money. Treat them as sales people and don’t blindly trust everything they say or any products they push. Red flag is if lots of KZbinrs are pushing same product.

Physical buttons in a car allow you to access controls by touch alone. Accessing frequently needed function on a touch screen alone might be dangerous - Gen Z appears to have issues crossing the road without looking up from their mobiles, so their abilities to use a touch screen is irrelevant. One of the reasons I purchased my F-Pace was the physical dials for the cabin temp, fan speed and heated/cooled seat controls. I can adjust everything without taking my eyes off the road, just by touch & feel.
@richardstamper5630Ай бұрын
This video got me worried so I went out and checked my engine mounts - lucky for me they were solid rubber with no electronics and phew, they were working great.

Excuse my ignorance but how can a PorscheTycan be a turbo when it runs off electric motors or does it mean something like extra BHP over the standard model.
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
Yes it’s a model naming scheme
@petertf03Ай бұрын
What an admission of failure to design, build and market an effective EV. Gen-Z will view your need for buttons to press as quaint - rather like a security blanket or pacifier. 😆
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
Not quite sure what you're talking about but bottom line is Gen-Z are not Porsche customers, I am, what a 20 year old thinks is irrelevant unless they are buying cars from Porsche.

If this is coming out of the “Behind The Galss” podcast, they addressed this very topic again yesterday. Porsche have come out with an official statement to say that an ICE engine will not fit in these platforms without major changes to the chassis. I would not be surprised if they do put ICE / Hybrid versions of these cars, but they will need to change the platform to accommodate this…

Any car, any make of car, if it has a fault/persistent fault, it is a disappointment and a pain. I’m not in Porsche territory as a car owner but certainly get what you say about being a good car let down by a fault. Way back in early 80’s I had a fwd Ford Escort that had a persistent failure of a small component which affected idle/low speed running. It was a pain. I gave up with the dealer in this regard and solved the problem myself by Aralditing the offending (air-leaking) parts of the component and never had the problem again. Araldite is unlikely to help with your Porsche though😂

Where I live, Alberta Canada, my 2021 Chevrolet Bolt, the lane keeping assist is massively useless. The system uses the painted road markings for it to work. If you live in a winter environment, there are no painted lines available, if your area doesn't repaint every year then ratty paint will fail the system. I have tried to use system but having the steering auto move left or right, due to above reasons, I believe that this "Safety system" is useless on many, many roads
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
Agreed, they are so focused on safety but it's actually potentially dangerous.
@simonelliott5956Ай бұрын
I had the same issue with my RS6, adaptive engine dampers are a pain! I take it none of your Porsches have been affected by the centre lock wheel recall? I know people that have had their cars off the road for 3-4months waiting for replacement centre lock nuts. Fortunately my 911 didn’t need them, but it was built in the same timeframe earlier back in the summer.
@eSysmanTechАй бұрын
No my 911 had the newer, updated ones fitted to the cars that were fitted with the faulty version.
@simonelliott5956Ай бұрын
@ good to hear, fortunately mine has missed the recall which seems only to be from September last year to December and then weirdly just May of this year. My GTS was built in July, and the centre locks were from April and June production, so swerved it!
