If you had taken that right turn marked Martigny SS27 before the San Bernardo tunnel it would have taken you over the Saint Bernard pass. The road they filmed most of the opening scene to the Italian job. The curved bridge you drove over just after that turn is the very bridge where you see the Muira in the very first shot of the film. If you haven't done it before, try it next time as it's not much of a detour but so worth it and rejoins your route on the Swiss side. Just make sure you have Matt Monro ready for it!

Another enjoyable video. Yes, SatNavs can be quite tricky as i experienced once with a brand new one. My son and I were on the way to Germany and I thought I had the SatNav all set up but as it turned out I by mistake set it to avoid motorways and, of course, we made a right blimming detour in Belgium. A gallon, by the way, is about 4.55 litres.

In regards to explosives checking at the Chunnel,, they’ve been doing that on the French side since the 90’s when they used to swab 5 vehicles steering wheels in a row, test it in a cabin and either let all of you go or test individually if they came up with something. The UK started doing it about ten years ago.

Did hire a couple of motorcycles from Milan in September a few years back, 35 degrees in Milan, snowing after the Como tunnel in Bolzano and Stelvio. 2 inches of snow. Yet when we abandoned the trip early and looped back via Riva and Limone, it was once again 35-40 degrees whilst we toured the Ducati factory in Bologna and watched the Moto GP at Misano. Then again, it’s the Alps?

Well I know Spetznas didn't get you checking out Putin's yacht, thankfully. Since you released the video that's my confirmation. Only you are. Rave enough to report on that stuff. I remember driving around there and picking people up from the private terminal and bringing them back to the boat in rented Land Rovers. Getting Gelato at Mary's. Then even the yacht went to Spain and driving around there. Miss the views. Florida has no mountains. My mom lives in West Virginia. Lots of mountains there. Good driving roads too. Lots of twisted turns. But if you go off, because there aren't guardrails everywhere, kiss it goodbye because you are going down 200'.

Easiest is for the UK to start driving on the RIGHT SIDE of the road like most countries do. Even Sweden switched sides. Also I’m surprised you had to change your clock as most up to date vehicles in North America automatically recognize the time zones as you pass between them & change the clock accordingly. Until we can convince the USA to switch to metric we also have to bounce between metric & imperial at the boarder unless you can convert in your head. Good video. Thanks 👍🇨🇦🙏

Sweden switched in the 1960s, would be much much harder now, and we don’t want to switch.

@@eSysmanTech & this is why the British Bull Dog is so stubborn. Once one quits hitting one’s head against the wall it doesn’t hurt so much anymore. The reason for driving on the left hand side of the road isn’t relevant since we moved on from the horse & buggy or knights jousting at tournaments. There is a reason why most of the world has it RIGHT. But keep up your videos on both channels as I do enjoy your candour & all the content you provide. I do respect your opinions even the ones I disagree with.
