We dont call places in Malaysia as provinces (i notice indonesia calls their places provinsi) , rather, as states. Each state has its own sultan, and these states make for the Federation of the Malay Lands or Persekutuan Tanah Melayu. Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, Pahang n Terengganu r the seats of the Malay heritage n culture. Alas, Malaysian tourism typically points to the Hindu Batu Cave, chinese street food such as Jalan Alor, old immigrants towns like Georgetown which unfortunately do not reflect the culture of the original people.

Province = state. In Canada they call province too. In China too. Yes it is called state here. Like usa, 'state of texas'. But in Canada 'province of alberta'
@farhanayub2676 ай бұрын
@@keangwooichoo6138no. State used by federal type administration. Which more self governing, has more power than province. Before independence, we malaysian state, are all different country. In short, its more like country within country.

Fun fact, Europeans found 20 pieces of tuyere in France 🇫🇷, a tuyere is basically a nozzle assembly that forces hot air into the furnace to increase/maintain the heat required to smelt in iron making. But there were 2 million tuyeres found in Sungai Batu. Talk about archeological hidden gem eh? Haha

I heard ancient scriptures (mesopotamia) have the name of old kedah in it. 1300bc. That is how grand iron works there during those days. In arabic "qalah" was the name. In indian ancient name "kataha"

Because budget, and some Indian are now claiming it's belong to them despite Buddhist statue are found and not Hindu
@nahwan56536 ай бұрын
There are no statues of buddhist or hindu origins found as yet at Sungai Batu. The only worshipping structure base found is believed to be of ANIMIST origin because it isn't typical of buddhist stupa or hindu temple. After all, buddhist or hindu presence in the Malay Peninsula is dated to only around 300-400CE thus far (based on temples and artifacts found 25km further north at Bujang Valley) , whereas Sungai Batu has been carbon dated to earliest 788BCE. It hasn't yet been established what type of worshipping place that was found which would help in identifying who the early settlers were. Otherwise, loads of tuyeres used for iron smelting, a jetty and harbourmaster office, for iron ingot exports have been found. This iron trade had been substantiated by Arabic, Chinese and Indian historical records.
