ROAD TRIP TO NOR CAL (Santa Cruz Steeps) Day 1: July 14, 2024

We had a road trip to Santa Cruz for a while now but when it was time to roll most people were not able to make it due to work or injury. Conner is originally from Santa Cruz and is here on summer break so me and Kasey went up with him. We met up with Peter and Brian who are both from Nor Cal and they took us around.
There are so many trails in this system so the plan was to hit as many trails as possible and never hit the same trail twice. We met at my restaurant at 5am and drove up. We got to the trail head at 11am with no traffic at all. We rode for about 6 hours and as soon as it got too dark we headed out for dinner at a local brewery. After dinner Kasey and I checked into a local Motel and crashed and got up the next day to ride. Day 1 was epic, it is so beautiful riding under neath giant trees and the weather was amazing. Day 2 we planned to hit more trails and saving the gnarliest trails for last.
