Road Trip To Oxfordshire - Canon Film & Digital Cameras

Things have been all over for me just recently, so I decided to take a road trip for two days away. My friend Laura who lives down in Oxfordshire said she would show me around, so I grabbed my cameras and off I went.
It was actually the kick I needed to start enjoying photography again, just for the photography. Yes I took some video, but I didn't plan on making it a KZbin video, hence it all looking like a tourist with a camera lol
After this we went to the Newark Retro Festival and that is my next video, just me getting out and documenting my adventures and photography not worrying about working for an audience.
In the next few weeks I will be going to the 1940's event I went to last year that I really enjoyed, so really looking forward to that :)

I have never been to Oxford or Oxfordshire before, lead a sheltered life lol But I plan on doing my photographic trips this year. Oxford has some really beautiful countryside even if very flat. I have never visited Brighton either

Hey Tim haha ill be back :) I love to experiment and just got to realise this is meant to be fun, so just want to venture out and express myself. Hey thanks a lot for the positive comment, it was touch and go for a while, but I am starting to feel the enjoyment for photography again. Especially the last event I went to which I am editing together now :) In the next few weeks I have a 1940's weekend I am really looking forward to capturing. Yes my back is getting back to normal, no pun intended. Oxford is a really nice place, but not on a hot Saturday, OMG soooo many people and no escape from the heat :/ It would be a great place to go back to in cooler weather and on a week day I think. Next video is up haha :)

Lovely set of photos, particularly the B&W ones in Oxford and Henley, brings back memories of trips to Henley good few years ago when I shot a lot of B&W around Henley

Hi Richard, not sure where the shots are these days, they would have taken in the 1970's I think, I will have to try and find some of these old photos, I did recently upload a set of photos on my channel of Steam On The Main Line, and do intend to upload further ones eventually

Awesome, I will have to check it out :) I do enjoy seeing how other people see the world, it is strange how 2 people can stand in front of the same subject and yet the images will be totally different. WOW I wonder how things looked back in the 70's, be interesting to see and then and now photo :)

If you Google Paddle Steamer Waverly, you should be able to find its Timetable for 2018, around September it leaves Glasgow and comes down the West Coast calling at many ports on route to London, I have 100's of photos of it from the north in Scotland and around the Coast, but usually on its many trips from London ( Tower Bridge always opens for it ), great to ride on to as the Engine Room is fully open, so can get great film of its engines at work. I always go straight to the engine as soon as I board, as most of the action is leaving or arriving at the pier

Hi Richard. Burnham is great all year around .... definitely recommend a return visit in the autumn with some Velvia 50.

Hey Chris, thank you for that tip. I have never shot slide film yet, not sure why, but will have to go back and give it ago. Are you from that area then? Be cool to know or if you would show me some cool spots :) Thank you for the recommendation, must actually try my hand at slide film

Yeah I have ZERO confidence in that lens, Sigma has actually contacted me so I am going to talk to them and maybe send it back, Thank you for the complement, I feel like they are more snaps than anything great, but it is good to feel happy in my photography again :)
