We drive the North-South portion of I-240 on the western side of the Memphis inner-loop. Then we turn west onto I-40 for a ride across the Hernando deSoto Bridge into Arkansas.

NBA arena to giant Bass Pro Shop was quite a change.

That’s the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid near Arkansas. They have a bowling alley, archery range, outdoor deck, hotel, and restaurant. That was opened in the early 90s.

If the crack was found on bridge several years back, it may had not caused that closure.

Actually the west end of Interstate 40 ends at Interstate 15 in Barstow, California.

I-40 is still considered to be a Coast to Coast, or transcontinental interstate.

When Arkansas state troopers chase a bad guy out of West Memphis, they have to end the pursuit at the either I-55 or I-40 Mississippi River bridges. They Arkansas State Trooper have a KZbin page LRHN.
