After about a month or ownership has the M3 lived up to expectations? What do I like and what do I dislike? What is it like to live with a BMW M3?

Picking the car up 100 miles away Plus I live in kent and drove to Manchester and back for the weekend, but I didn't want to use the motorway. One thing I noticed after a few hours the centre console gets very warm. I am guessing not a lot of heat protection from the exhaust pipes and the transmission.

I just got my m3 about a month ago. Love the car but not sure if I just have a heavy foot or the fuel consumption is that bad. I getting roughly 250-300km per gas tank. Still testing it. I only drive the car on nice days/weekends. My e46 m3 was not that bad. Roughly 400km/gas tank

i bought 2008 e92 m3 6 speed manual last week carbon black 80k miles. No prior stick shift experience..I probably stalled it 20 times in a week. But a week later and the mechanics of driving stick is getting embedded in the muscle memory! Took my boss for a spin, and boss implied "kangaroo hoping" when i let the clutch out too fast and the car would rock back and forth! He is from across the pond! Looking forward for your videos! Loving my new car. The v8 sound, the acceleration, the stiffness in the steering wheel as the speed increases are sublime!

You should consider having the drivers seat re done, there are shops that do this, whilst using your current seat frame. They can change bolsters etc, whilst using BMW Leathers. I must say , I enjoyed your mate grabbing the "Holy Sh#t" handle, when you started giving the car the beans. BMW's are fantastic automobiles, they truly are the Ultimate Driving Machine....I wish you great enjoyment/fun in your E92 M3. Sincerely, M.

Not sure quite what you mean but no rattles from the clutch of gear that I can notice.

They are both different. The Boxster is more lighter and thus more nimble on track. The M3 is a better all rounder and more practical but a heavier car so feel the weight on track. Saying that the V8 is a lot of fun on track! If I was keeping it a racing seat would be a big help on track.

Would love to do a E46 M3 comparison but it's difficult as I'd need someone to loan me one for a couple of days. Do you have an E46 M3 or know someone with one?

I’ve owned both. Tbh it really depends what you like. I had e46 m3 6 speed and now my e92 m3 is Dct. I would not change the dct. Great tranny to drive. E92 sounds meaner and you feel the power. It’s also very well balanced as well. Terrible on fuel. E46 has that classic look. Also well balanced but not as refined as the e92. Seems like bmw was looking at luxury and performance when they made the e92

You should do the "Exhaust Mod" to the standard rear exhaust unit. I did and it transforms the sound of the car without any drone inside. I have a spare OEM rear box if you want a donor and to keep your standard one should you want to go back.

D Filice, well yes that is true! but from my experience of BMW's if you stick to the service plan you will have minimal issues. It's a shame Lexus have such a gap in their performance range or I would be tempted to give them a go.
