I spent 12yrs lusting after this car and in June this year (2020) I finally achieved my dream, an e92 M3. Mine is a 2013 so the last of the breed and all manor of extras. Every time I get in it I get the biggest childlike grin on my face, it's a stunning car. I had an e92 330i before and in sport mode I thought it was quick, the M3 though is in a completely different league. In normal driving it's smooth and refined, everything you want. If you prod the bear though the thing becomes an animal, it feels like it's alive and wants you to drive it harder and faster no matter how fast you're already going. The dct gearbox works flawlessly and because of the fantastic rev matching the car does you can't wait to change down a gear to hear that lovely howl from the exhaust. I've been driving BMW cars for years and thought that I knew how they feel but the M3 for me reset all of what I thought I knew, it's an amazing car

Enjoying the series a lot -- big improvements in storyboarding and editing. One of the big appeals of the Boxster series was the technical in-depth discussion that gave a good how-to overview. In this video, you said you wouldn't bore us with the checking of fluids and the like, but keep in mind that's actually the main appeal of your prior series. Don't abandon the technical stuff. It's not boring.

Great video. Just shows that a level head, good research & putting the heart aside can result in an excellent buy. Too many video's on KZbin show how you can buy 'sports cars' & 'exotics' cheap .... but in my view you get what you pay for and your choice of a well-sorted car (not on the cheap) is wise. Kudos.

I recommend bringing a Laptop with INPA when you buy a BMW. You get more reliable fault code information from all ECUs in the car. Also, in my experience, it terrifies the people selling the cars and they will be more honest about what troubles the car had so far :-)

Then why does it always sound worse? Bluetooth connection always sounds louder, clearer, stronger. This is with every vehicle I've been in. Please don't say "Ohh you have to turn up the volume on your phone durrr".
@optic_fraxzzyt5720
@optic_fraxzzyt5720 6 жыл бұрын
1tokeover Probably due to the the age of the vehicles that have BT vs audio jack and the sound systems associated with that. However I will point out that in terms of actual sound quality with the exact same music, phone and speakers the audio jack beats bluetooth everytime.
@chrisogrady28
@chrisogrady28 6 жыл бұрын
1tokeover are you tech illiterate? Bluetooth transmits a highly compressed, low bit rate, digital signal. Auxiliary cables from headphone jacks transmit an uncompressed analogue signal. If you’re getting Shitty aux quality you’re using a shit phone and/or shit quality audio files. Different devices have different quality digital to analogue converters (DAC) inside, so phones like the LG V series, and old iPods sound amazing. Bluetooth is terrible.

It’s an expensive car to own if something goes wrong. Tyres and fuel are also costly. My latest video talks about this after owning one for a year, which may help you.
@allennzs8886
@allennzs8886 6 жыл бұрын
Road and Race thanks for your reply, I'm aware of the fuel and Tyres, my biggest concern would be the rod bearings, because they're expensive to replace and if I discover this problem when it's too late, it could just destroy the engine, that would be super expensive. Also if I replace all the rod bearings, how long can they last? Do I need to replace them any time soon after that? Sorry maybe it's a silly question, but I'm still wondering 😂

finding no fault codes does not mean anything. you must also go into the emissions section to see if all emissions sections are in "ready/complete" mode. if there are no codes and all emissions are in "complete", then you have a good car. If anything is "incomplete/not ready" then the seller has tried to fool you by deleting error codes...which resets emissions to "not ready/incomplete". The car has to be driven a tank or two tanks of gas in order to complete all emissions stages.

A question to rattle the old memory box. There is absolutely loads of speculation on how much fuel these cars use, ranging from 150-325 miles on a tank. My fiesta st 180 ranges from 150-325 miles on a tank also, albeit only a 42 litre tank, this obviously is down to a heavy right foot. With your experience using the m3 as daily, maybe using the heavy foot now and again, what mileage did you get between fills?
