Has anyone else thought Dave is one mad genius at fabrication and planning out the whole car . Fabricating your own car is like watching Chip Foose draw and design his cars . Junkyard Dave is worthy of his own show...... Nickname the car "Weird Mopar". Dave was your favorite movie Weird Science,

That jig he made for the rear subframe looks like a sculpture made by someone on cocaine! I'm still trying to envision what Dave is, but his mind is well above mine. I'm sure once it's all done and installed I'll have a clearer understanding. Mad Scientist Genius shit going on there!

@@n84434 Yeah. I've been watching Dave for a few years now. Well aware he's an engineer and he worked for Cummins in Minnesota for quite some time. It just amazes me how he can see his plan in that jig and all I can see is a maze of metal. LOL.

4:38 Pointing out the difference in the front and rear wheel arches reminds me of my '05 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. I was trying to set my ride height with the fender wells and couldn't figure out why my rear coilovers weren't adjusting high enough to clear the tires (I have 18's in place of the stock 14's). After about an hour of frustration I laid down in the grass and watched the clouds to clear my head. Then I sat up and just stared at the car. Then it hit me. I looked at the fender arches in relation to the body line. The rear fender arch sat about 3/4" lower than the front. So, I decided to set the ride height from the frame rail so the car was level. The rear tires would be tucked a little and I had to adjust the camber in so they wouldn't rub.

I like how is it going together and that you got rid of the goofy double lower control arms in the front. Before you move the front lower control arms forward check out your caster if you have negative caster it is going to effect how it handles. Would it be easier to use the charger spindles instead of cutting and welding cast aluminum?
