Actually, if you try to betrayal kill Paula then Ness will sidestep and protect her in a similar manner to undyne and monster kid. I may have gone and tested it myself after assuming he would do that. I felt really bad about betraying them at all, on top of killing them... I can also say that susie will refuse to betray attack and iceshock will just... miss.

What an amazing fight. Phase 1 was pretty easy, but that's nothing compared to what came next. Phase 2 really challenged you to think quick and remember patterns, especially later on in the fight when the fire appeared in the menus. Besides challenge for the whole fight, the music of both was spectacular. This somehow represented something eerie but in a way that may be able to be forgiven. Lexi did a wonderful job on this track, and it's easily one of my favorites in the game so far. Looking forward to continuing the story through GG!Underfell and even through further sections as well!

Undertale is not lost. Of course, because of Flowey's death, yes or yes Asgore will die (there's no True Pacifist Ending). But the monsters find out after a neutral ending that the SOULs are gone. This means that they find out where they were; so they could take those and one more on the surface and break free. Possibly humanity would be destroyed (it all depends on whether Toriel is overthrown or not), but it's better than the Earthbound situation.

It's literally perfect. The constant low droning sells that feeling that you're doing something very wrong, but it isn't very intense of a song, showing you still have a chance to relent, and be a not completely shit person. On top of everything, it has Earthbound sfx.

Now that I think about it, the Obliteration route in both sections kinda involve you screwing over the world. In the Ruins, by killing Flowey, you completely prevent the True Pacifist ending from ever happening. I find it strange how Mr. Carpainter says that he doesn’t want the player to kill the children. But in Earthbound, the children were left behind in Twoson by their parents who decided to convert to Happy Happyism. And because this technically takes place right before Ness gets to Happy Happy Village, the only children Carpainter could be referring to are Porky and Paula. (Sorry if I seem to be picking apart the game, but I actually really do like the whole concept of the Deltarune cast going to different worlds in which their games are inspired by/inspired. [On that topic, I think Mario & Luigi would be a good world to use, since Toby was inspired by the dodge mechanic in those games.])

I really hope by the ending of this whole fanfare whatever big entity or whatever we have to face at the end takes us back through these worlds just for a moment to show us what effects we had in the worlds we visited (Not tryna demand anything from the devs or anything like that just fan speculation cause in a nerd who adores this project) Like whether we do pacifist or Genocide will dictate the visuals we see in these worlds when fighting the final boss or just when the final boss is discussing our actions (because in pretty sure the big final boss guy is gonna be gaster or some gaster related being and in also pretty sure they are the reason Kris, Susie and Noelle are going through these worlds all of a sudden if the hard mode ending is anything to go by at the very least) Like an example Kris, Susie and Noelle roll up to the big final boss (probably gaster) of all the sections (I think there are planned to be 7 correct me if I'm wrong) after a long genocide route and he's gonna talk about the things we did and the worlds we ruined by our senseless murder by showing us an Undertale world without the true pacifist ending thanks to the death of flowey, a world where Giygas destroys everything thanks to you killing the 2 most important people who could kill it (Paula's prayers and Ness just being the MC in general) and so on and so forth for every world they jump into and genocide (underfell, Mario&luigi, Legends of Zelda yadda yadda) and maybe the backgrounds can change during the fight to show these worlds and their effects AAAAA that would be sick...idk in just fangasming over this fan game I'll be happy regardless of their choice for the finale cause this idea is pure genius And of course I'm using the genocide worlds as an example. The world's being changed positively in the pacifist route and being shown off is equally as cool and can happen as well.

I love every time a beat like (0:57) happens it usually means as "A bad encounter" or the enemy will go first for those who played earthbound, the battle would not end too great for you, and to hear it multiple times in one battle, that really key detail that not many people notice that the battle may already be over for them and it's a game over.

something i like about the genocide route to this point is the fact you dont get any blood, its dust, then dust, then is robots weeds and trees, ya know killing mystical monsters :D then you see the coil snake. it doesn't look like much but it defines the route you take and how you feel about it, not grinding till everything is dead makes the snake run away, but if everything is dead and you kill the snake, it dies, it bleeds. this isint a monster or mystic creature or a robot, you killed something. after you leave the caves, the atmosphere changes. and when you deal the finishing blow to that blue cultist. you killed someone, the only thing i dont really like about this scene is susie and noelles reactions, while you killed a snake, it was just a snake, but you killed someone. but they seemed more concerned on the snake, and when you kill a person, susie is just >:( bruh and noelle is just :( it doesn't do justice to what you did, hey at least the girl over there gets m- last thing id like to say is i like how youre punished for doing genocide with a stats down. it really amplifies that you need to stop killing or maybe your stats will be even lower that this time, that your actions have consciences.

I think the purpose between the Coil Snake and the Blue Cultist was that, when the Snake is slain, the appearance of blood is a major signifier. And Susie is more disappointed, and also perhaps inwardly concerned, in Kris for not deviating. It's part of the desensitization. The Snake was extremely shocking (and a call-back to Undertale and Sans). The Cultist was the slippery slope.

after killing some of the mushroom kingdom toads and a bit of goombas and koopas, we fight Bowser then he absorbs us and then we fight Mario and Luigi inside Bowser (the section is based on M&L: Bowser Inside Story), then Mario/Luigi dies in Luigi/Mario's arms while crying, then we against Luigi/Mario solo depending on the survivor, and bowser's intestines are ripped apart from the inside in the battle, Kris gets out from bowser's inside by jumping like Mario, literally DESTROYING Bowser's ribs, organs, etc. traumatizing Noelle and Susie.

To think we had to fight and kill Ness and Paula at the end of section 2 in obliteration route. What's more terrifying is the fact that by doing so we doomed their world. Giygas can't be defeated without Ness and Paula. Jeff and Poo are strong, but they are not enough. Also I got chills when Paula went full no mercy mode on us after we kill Ness and remix of megalovania in the background only made this better. I am afraid, but at the same time curious how things will go in the next sections if you follow this path. Keep up the great work and as always stay determined!

It's completely in line with Snowgrave, at least up until the Palace. There's always a chance to change your mind. It's a test of mettle. Are you willing to see your choices through all the way until the end, and without the option to be "locked in" until it's entirely too late. That's one thing about Snowgrave. You're locked in from Pandora Palace. What you do no longer matters. But it could have not been quite that way.
