Ness will have a hard time convincing everyone of Kris, Susie, and Noelle’s involvement. Plus he missed out on a lot of exp and will be underleveled for Threed.

Dunno if someone's commented this, but there's a variation of dialogue when you progress without killing all of the previous enemies. I accidentally discovered that during my own Obliteration route playthrough. You also get a small warning when trying to progress through the first area without killing all the previous enemies, something like "On second though, you think you're powerful enough". and I think you actually skip the Coil Snake fight because of it? As far as I could tell, the Coil Snake only shows up once you've beaten all the enemies in the first area. This is literally the best fan game ever

Just to be clear, the message given is "It may be a good idea to keep on going. After all, you're already pretty strong", and you *do* end up fighting the Coil Snake: it's just that when you hit it, it runs away instead of bleeding out, and that aborts your run. (***Susie doesn't talk about the thought of the guts spilling from the snake, but instead is happy that the snake ran away, answering Noelle's "Is everything okay?" with "It is now.")

I think it goes something like the following, all within the ACT menu: Ness - Reflect Ness - Talk Ness - Reflect Ness - Talk Paula - Reflect (edit: it's "Apologize" but it's the same concept) Paula - Talk It takes a reasonable good while to do, but it's possible to spare the two. Not sure if the order of the characters matter, as long as there is a Reflect before each Talk. Alternatively, it essentially skips the first phase of the fight if you were to attack at this point.
