Purity is rare. I'm not talking about perfection. We are all flawed human beings, and Steve was no different. He was a beautiful human being and left behind an incredible legacy with his family. One of the best comments I've ever read of this legend, thanks for that... The ending of a book/movie/life is incredibly overrated, sure it's part of it but... Life is a dance and the "dash" on a tombstone representing All the successes, failures, rains, shines, and everything that we interacted with and loved, is beyond a cruel joke of existence. Life is about living, and reminiscing a legend is about appreciating what they made us realize &/or feel

Steve was intelligent, quick witted and amazingly self aware. In all my 40 something plus years, (lol) I've seen a few celebrities, famous people, and, "childhood heroes," come and go. Some well before their time, and many well too young for anybody to die. But NONE of them have affected me as deeply as when I heard that Steve Irwin was gone, I was about as devastated as anyone who didn't know him personally could be. Even though anybody could see something happening a mile away, with how close to wildlife he was literally every day, of course I wasn't surprised but it REALLY shook me to my core all the same. The entire WORLD lost significantly the day Steve Irwin died. 🙏
