criminally overlooked and underrated. everybody out here buying scat packs, yet this jag will gap one with relative ease, and also has a nicer interior. it should also be worth mentioning that right now (2022) you can pick up a rather nice XKR 5.0 for $20k-$30k, it is absurd people are not buying them.

I just bought an '09 Portfolio Edition. I preferred the styling and upgraded interior, also 510 h.p. is not really usable in normal driving, 420 h.p. in the '09 is more than enough.

A few notes: The Z06 evades a gas guzzler tax with 505 hp. Also, perhaps it is time for Jag to rethink the XK and decide whether they should give it the rear seat space it needs to be a proper GT, or remove the rear seats altogether and make it into a true sports car. I tend to side with the latter seeing how Jag already offers some fantastic four seaters in the sedan department. They could probably benefit from having a smaller/lighter sports car in their lineup.

my dad bought a 2006 sl 55 3 years ago for 70k. Over half the price new. You also have to consider these cars as your secondary car. You need to make a lot of money to still afford one.

best thing about the jag, and all british luxury cars for that matter is the exclusivity; How many british cars do you see on the road? Now how many german luxury cars do you see?....way, way more. It's always nice to have something that isn't already had by everyone else.

@OneOfaKind949 When I was shopping for a new car back in end of 2009. I was thinking either 2010 GTR, 2010 Shelby or 2010 XKR. But my wife said there was no way she would be seen in that ugly GTR; So I got the 2010 XKR. I have never get so many attentions from women before in my life since I got the XKR. The exhaust node always turn heads, and the make & built of the XKR looks at least 2 classes above the GTR. When I thought back about it, good thing I didn't get the GTR.

You correctly observed just how much car you get for your dollar/pound-UK sterling. To get 500 bhp for less than £73,000 or $90,000 compared to a minimum of £100,000 or $150,000 for your Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes etc etc is a no brainer. Jaguar can match anything other super car manufacturers but don't screw anyone by over charging for extras which the XK has standard.

i love this car but i just dont see why the 0-60 is 4.6s, a camaro ss can do that and it weighs 3900lb with 426hp, the jag should do it in like 4s or less, some1 make it happen!

@Rjjr510 I have a BMW with an alcantara steering wheel and a Lexus with a wood and leather steering wheel; while the wood ones may look nice, they are horrible to actually drive with. When the wood touches your hands, it sticks, while the leather never does. A full leather steering wheel is much better for a performance car. Just look at BMW M models and AMG cars.
