I didn't cry on my wedding, I didn't cry when I held my kids for the first time, but I had to wipe away some tears on this one. The sound is all I wanted from music over the last 10-20 years.

@BryonAutry3 жыл бұрын
You and I definitely share experiences when it comes to these guys. I also got heavily into Melodic Death Metal in my early High School years through bands like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Soilwork, At The Gates and Arch Enemy, and these bands shepherded me into the music I love today. In Flames and Dark Tranquillity were always the two at the top of the pile for me. I bought all of their albums and carried them with me everywhere. Without these bands, I would not have found Ensiferum and started my folk metal journey, or branched out into the Finnish scene and found Children Of Bodom, Norther and Kalmah, which gave me my love of Keyboards and Keyboard solos (which lead directly into discovering my love for Melodic Power Metal). These guys had a profound impact on my life, and I could not be happier that this project exists!

Thats an extremely nice Jesterhead you have there, I also have Jesterhead on my right arm, with one of the best quotes from an In Flames song ever, "If you just let me, I'll find a way", under it. And yes, this is a huge thing. The excitement that you show, I was just as excited when I saw the news on Facebook while at work. This is amazing. Also, with Mikael, he was originally playing Guitar in Dark Tranquillity, so he was also on their first release, just switched position when Anders went to In Flames.

I'm late to the party, knew nothing about this until about 7 hours prior to me writing this. I have a Google Home speaker with a screen I listen to music on while I'm at work, so its not unusual for me to discover new stuff I really dig... This was different. The moment I heard the vocals, I thought "why does this sound like the vocalist from Dark Tranquility" so I began digging into the history of the project before even finishing the song. I didn't even grow up around melodic death metal, only discovered it a little over 10 years ago now, but it remains my favorite genre that exists through countless discoveries later. This makes me ecstatic beyond words - I was already planning on flying to Europe for the Parkway Drive/While She Sleeps show, and then I saw they were playing with Amon Amarth/Machine Head right at the same time... My excitement has never been higher. 2022, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
