IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME! SOULBOUND We race around the melted char of what was once a neutron star And use the gravity to whip us into dark galactic rifts Yet still somehow we can't escape, they have no flaw, they feel no pain These twisted shadows of the men I once condemned We can Why do you seek us See right You won't defeat us Through you Turn around while you can Your soul Try to remember Is ours Why you defend her This time Shatter the master plan Soul bound Endlessly forever Locked between the darkness and the light Don't drown In the swarming, blackened rising Hold on to humanity and fight Tormented by the tethering of souls to phantoms that remain These spectres seem devoid of life but there is something in their eyes Refuse to see they can't be saved, I push to pull them from the grave End their addiction to the thrall once and for all But who am I to be their saviour, slave to time When I am doomed to be in chains for all my life Soul bound Endlessly forever Locked between the darkness and the light Don't drown In the swarming, blackened rising Hold on to humanity and fight

Soulbound is just *_|chef's kiss|_* Other Jamie was around most of last year and had only just found UTA when the new album dropped, and just played this music video (not the song, the video specifically), on repeat for weeks at a time. Did all the research into the band, the storyline of the matriarch, the Apex and Abyss albums. It's all amazing. We only buy stuff that we're actually going to use, so we got the 'lost tour' t-shirt in 2 sizes, and love those shirts to pieces. So cool. Glad you finally got around to doing a reaction as well. I came for your cool vibes and your headbanging, praise for the band and the gear breakdown, and you delivered on all fronts. And as you say, this is "powerful," which is what I would call power metal. But no matter what it is, UTA is awesome. ~ Jamie

6:31min u've said "If I like it, I like it". That is also my opinion. It doesn't matter, what kinda style it is, when the sound is catching you and touches your soul, it is good. I'm 47 yo and I love a lot of differnet musicstyles. Okay, Hard Rock ist my most favorite stuff. A year ago, I didn't know the Archers and now I listen to them each and every day @work, in my car and @home I listen ally reaction vids :D If anyone had told me many years ago, sometimes I would love "growls" in a song, I would have called them crazy. What kind of music you hear, tells a lot about the way you went in life. Music and also the different styles are companions your whole lifetime. I love the 80's Pop, Neue deutsche Welle (new german wave), which was a special musicstyle in germany most the time with german lyrics. Also I love Partypop, EBM and sometimes techno, Neue Deutsche Härte (= new german hardness... bands like EIsbrecher, Rammstein, Megaherz for example), adulted oriented Rock, classical music and American country (new country like Brantley Gilbert, Pat Green, Brad Paisley, Christian Kane and so on). Your mind is growing, also your perception to music and I give a f*** what people around me think, what I have to listen to. Sorry for my bad english, but you doing right, you on your way, no other could go this for you. NAMASTE PS.: Counting the days, I'll see my Archer back again @ your channel

Not sure if you've ever heard Avantasia (since you've mentioned a few times you never got into power metal back in the day), but if you haven't I wholeheartedly recommend them. Avantasia is the collab brain-child of Tobias Sammet (in between working on that he's also the front-man and songwriter of the band EdGuy, the guy has waaayyy too much energy xD), besides having awesome musicians (like Eric Singer the drummer from Kiss, Henjo Richter a guitarrist from Gamma Ray, Markus Grosskopf the bassplayer and founder of Helloween, and more) there's also a slew of fantastic singers who feature in this collab, like Michael Kiske, Alice Cooper, Klaus Meine, Dee Snider, Hansi Kürsch, and since I know it'll peak your interest: Marco Hietala ^^ (and again, maaaany more). My recommendation for getting you hooked would be "Master of the Pendulum", since it features Marco Hietala. ^^ Other fantastic first songs would be: "Shelter from the rain", "Let the Storm Descend Upon You", or "The Raven Child".

Recommendations for next UTA video: The Matriarch - It's also a "Quick banger" similar to Soulbound, but from the Apex album, so if you loved Soulbound, you'll love this one. Great reaction, Tank! Very reflective of the first time I heard this song. That first "Brittney wail"™ (yes, she should definitely patent that wail) got me hooked. This song is now a permanent fixture on my playlist. As for other recommendations, I'd definitely recommend UTA's cover of "Northwest Passage". It is phenomenal! They stay true to the original but put their own spin on it, which is just out of this world. It's not as intense as this song, but it's just sooooo cool! Again, great reaction, Tank. You da' man.

Hey tank! I am a little late to this party. Most UTA has growls before this album this album has a bit of change from the previous albums . Go back Awakening had lots of heavy vocals and growls. IMO other than Britney and the AMAZING musical talent it was the growls that got me in the first place. Please even in your own time check out Cleanse the Bloodlines and eat what you kill (imo the heaviest song from uta) it keeps getting better and better although the new album took a bit for me to get into because of the change in heavyness not a bad thing just a change from what is one of my all time fave bands! Keep up the awesome vids man ! Cant wait from some more UTA from you!

heya, tank. uta is one of the first female-fronted bands that caught my attention a few years ago. i was pretty strictly dark core, black, and industrial back then, but the power of their music opened my eyes to what they are and do. it also made me go back and listen to some of the early metal, and some of the rock from my high school days. i started listening to newer bands and music i'd missed. i found reactors like alex, and rah, and j_a_j, and then you and chase, and a very lot in my life has changes because y'all have continued my journey. thanks. sorry, didn't mean for this to go on so, but i think i'll post it, anyway. hadgd!

As an Italian, my humble suggestion is to react to Flashgod Apocalypse - The Violation. A classic by them and you'll be blown away. Amazing reactions and channel, by the way! Saw UTA live back in the days when I used to live in Toronto and they destroyed the stage.

The story of Soulbound is very much like Cleanse the Bloodlines.. But in this, the mother needs the blood and the life of her young to carry on her life eternal. Their souls, bound through fate to support the matriarch. The Matriarch being another predominant figure in the lore of Unleash The Archers (And a f*cking metal as all hell song!).

I think Avatar is a band that needs more attention. They been killing it! recently just finished their livestream concert series, Ages, and they put up a bunch of clips from it on KZbin. Wormhole from their most recent album is DOPE but any of the recent live videos are DOPE. My all time favorite song of theirs is HAIL THE APOCALYPSE and I'd love to see your opinion on it.

Yes! I love UTA! If you made me pick my favorite band, they would easily be the one I chose. The band is made up of insane individual talent, and they come together to form an incredible band. I've followed this band since "Behold the Devastation" in 09' and it's so awesome to see how big they've become. Nothing but praise for them.

I love Unleash The Archers, ever since I first heard Awakening a couple of years back. I was instantly hooked and also blown away by the musicianship and by Brittney’s absolutely incredible powerhouse vocals. I’d list them in my current top 5 bands for sure. I’m also literally sitting watching your brilliant reaction to this whilst wearing my Unleash The Archers - Abyss t shirt. So, next stop for you Tank, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you need to get onto Orden Ogan mate. Especially as their new album, Final Days, drops on March 12th. Videos to choose from: Gunman F.E.V.E.R. In The Dawn Of The A.I. Also I think it’s time you gave the amazing Beast In Black another chance, maybe with From Hell With Love. Other stuff I highly recommend for you : Apocalypse Orchestra - The Garden Of Earthly Delights Kalidia - Circe’s Spell Feuerschwanz featuring Melissa Bonny - Ding (Seeed cover) Brothers of Metal - Chainbreaker Cheers mate. Keep up the good work. 🙂🤘🏻
