Roadkill got me through a tough period. I cold turkey quit heroin and fentanyl. I just binged on these guys. Thank you for uploading all these videos

Hot rod became so money hungry moving off yourube and refusing to broadcast outside of the US, very glad people are uploading things!

It's not Hot Rod, it's Warner Bros. WB, you know the network that owns Crap News Network aka CNN. Hot Rod doesn't own the company.

I do love it when these guys get super exited about a 14 second pass from a shitbox when they both own 9 second cars, proves the passion they have.

I like the HD 6 Spring Disc! When I use a 4 spring Disc, I wear the 4 springs out & they rattler, lol I would've gone for a 2 or 3 mile drive to a local store, after the Clutch repacement, before running down the track , if I had time. This seeems to be one of your Better Roadkill weeks. Note, Sunscreen with Coconut oil, keeps Bugs Away.

Yep, the 7.5" 10-bolt DOES suck weenie..... I had a 1976 Chevy Nova that had a 250 straight 6 in it. I tore the 6 cylinder and the trans out, installed a fresh mildly warmed over 468 and a TH-400 trans. I got er running, went for a ride around the block, and didn't even make it home before the rear-end blew. 😒 The TH-400 banged gears pretty hard with the usual B&M shift kit in it. I heard and felt a GIANT bang when it slammed into second after going thru the 2nd stop sign. I pulled over, and when the car continued to roll when I put it in park, I INSTANTLY knew what had happened. I put it in gear and looked under it, and YUP, the driveshaft was spinning but the car wasn't moving. 😏 I ended up finding an 8.5" posi unit with 3.42 gears that bolted right in. I found the rear-end at my local junk yard. I'm not even sure what it came out of, it was just laying in a giant pile of third members, but it was the exact same width and it bolted directly into the Nova with no messing around. I'm guessing that it probably came out of an earlier F-Body car... 🤷🏻

Craigslist purchased, Roadkill hammered, and donated to a girl to start off her car owning days with a story for life. Not bad guys. Not bad at all. 👍

I'd love to have time and resources to pull off adventure like that. Just an old beater off of a craigslist and take part in event for the sake of it. 0 chance of winning anything, 100% chance of mechanical failure, pure adventure into unknown

Hey Freiburger, how many times is it going to take for you to realize that riding a clutch on launch is not a good idea?? How about stop blaming the clutch and learn how to side step it instead of feathering... sure you may bog a bit, but at least your clutch will last more than 2 passes!!

I stopped watching roadkill when they put it behind a paywall. I actually might've paid, but just a few months before Frieburger had specifically promised in an interview on YT that it would never go behind a paywall like other MotorTrend content. He was senior enough that he knew at that point that it would, and never addressed the lie. I always found him a bit annoying, very knowledgeable, but something always grated on me about him. The lie, and the unapologetic way he abandoned the fans who'd built the show that made him, makes it impossible for me to enjoy watching him now.
@moogle684 ай бұрын
Bruh, the Roadkill show didn't "make him", as you say. He was already very well known and very experienced by the time they started making Roadkill episodes, and if it wasn't Roadkill, then I'm sure he would've gotten involved in something else regarding filming with cars. I'm with you on not liking the lack of apology regarding what he said about not pay walling Roadkill, specially so close to when it happened, but at the time I think financing all of the different shows was a bit hard, and they were probably worried that their kind of content wasn't going to pull in the right numbers that the YT algorithm wanted for far enough into the future for things to work out.

Did you miss the -[20-minute long]- part where this vehicle was sitting outside for a couple decades or more? Also, the 70s was the Malaise era, when new emissions regulations were strangling the horsepower out of cars, and it took over a decade for everyone to figure out how to get back to _Real_ power numbers while still passing emissions regulations.
