Gonna be honest, i know alot of players are basically waiting for loa on as a make or break, I know players that are just straight up going to sell everything and quit if they dont fix core issues soon or atleast announce them in this upcoming LOA on. A few core issues I would like to see changed are, 1. Dailies, its just too much to do right now especially if you play alot of characters which youre basically forced to do if you want to progress. I am spending upwards of 1hr 30 minutes if not even longer to only get my 5 characters dailies and a few lopangs all done and its just rediculous. 2. Burnouts, I know burnouts are different per person but the amount of weekly raids if you play a full roster is extremely time consuming, I heard SG might be removing some gates and lessening the weekly workload which I think is a good start. 3. Elixir and Transcendence, These 2 systems right here might provide some of the best power gain to gold spent ratio but is still extremely over priced and expensive. upwards of 500k gold each which is just disgusting if you get unlucky. For elixirs SG seriously need to rework some of the options and make it so that you can select set options, The rng right now is just disgusting to even get the set effect you want. I spend 90k gold last week cutting ONLY the elixirs that I got from raids and the amount of times I had to reset an elixir due to it not having the set option i needed is just mindnumbing. As far as transcendence goes it is also extremely expensive and needs to get nerfed. SG could also be more lenient on the "amount of turns left for 3 flowers" to furthur reduce cost. 4. Gatekeeping, this topic is extremely important for newer players and vets are seriously not realising that new players are core to a mmo game. SG not only needs to make this game more casual friendly and easier for newer players to start or else this game will never grow and eventually die out. Its nice to see solo raids up to ivory, I think the best option SG can do regarding the gold earnt from solo raids is make them bound and only useable for progression. That way newer players not only have their own spot to grow and eventually when they learn the raids well enough they can play with a party and earn tradable gold. 5. Regular honing nerfs, At this stage in the game especially with echidna around the corner and behemoth at the end of the year if I had to guess, It is really important SG to make 1580 basically free. Players need as many alts as possible to provide for their mains and honing to 1580 right now with event still costed me 50k gold not counting mats, and if you build the character without gems then its atleast -110k gold on lvl 7 gems which tbh gatekeeping standards nowdays feels like lvl 8 minimum. 6. Events, Us in the globe seriously needs more help from events. I think Kr had like double our time between elixirs, transcendence, advance honing. WE ARE ABOUT TO GET ALL 3 SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS IN 6 MONTHS. Like how tf do you actually think people are going to be able to afford all this. There is a reason there is barely anyone that isnt rmt on TFM leaderboards rn. because literally no one can play the game without rmt at the rate crap is being shoved down our necks. SG you either slow down the rate at which you throw content at up or give up actual support, and im not talking about 5 extra elixirs and 10k gold. for the months of raids we have missed compared to KR we are literally missing hundreds of thousands of gold/time. Now obviously ags and sg those greedy bastards would never even give up close to the amount we all have missed. but come on, atleast 50k to 100k gold plus heaps of free elixirs im talking 4x the amount they gave is a bare minimum if you actually think about how much less time we had compared to kr. Like they seriously need to 4x 5x minimum the amount of crap from the events because this crap they are feeding us is disgusting. At this point playing lost ark feels like a part time job and there is too much rng and gold sink for the amount of gold an average player makes weekly. You have to play this game for hours upon hours a day just to get 0.5% power boost with 0 gold left in the bank at the end of every week reset. Quite literally feels like a slave right now farming for a bowl of rice each week and this needs to change or else even hardcore vets are gonna leave. SG seriously needs to cooking something good on this LOA ON or its pretty much over, it feels like SG is just trying to milk as much money out as possible out of dying regions before they close servers. SG seriously need to stop only caring about money and greed and realise that if you actually build a good game and have alot of players enjoying a game and coming in to play that money will come naturally. Its just extremely disappointing to see such a fun game with an amazing combat system die to greed. I'll be waiting alongside with many other players to see the fate of this game in the globe.

They added way too many extra systems that are too far over my head...Transcendence / Elixirs I haven't even gotten to 1600... im 1597. Just seems overwhleming.

Elixirs and transcendence are half a million gold each minimum, and require months of clearing raids for each. LOA must address these two vertical systems because it will drown all new players and is actively resulting in people quitting.

I quit at 1580, havent even done Akkan. The game is too many bad systems on top of bad systems. I also played on SA so yeah, that thing should be EXTRA dead by now, the merge came too late

Yes, elixirs and transcendence are the worst. First, I spend a lot of hours in raids, and then I have to spend more in the RNG simulator.

It's very simple to save LA. 1) Do a complete revamp of it's progression system and adopt a cosmetics based business model (skins, housing etc) similar to a MOBA with compensation for vets. 2) Address botting with an in-game captcha like system. Whales will get upset initially ofc cause they sunk 10k into not being called a rice eater. But they will have a revitalized playerbase to show off their expensive cosmetics to. AGS and SG have to be decisive and be willing to take some heat in order to preserve their Western playerbase. LA has already done the hard part. It's a great game but it's bottlenecked by poor management

I expect nothing that can fix the game in the west. You say the difference with Korea are the statics. We had statics as well, most of them are gone so that's not the problem. Also I'm not sure that solo content can fix the game here. Sure some players will take advantage of it, but will make return the thousands of players that left after Thaemine release? I doubt it since many left because of the difficulty of that raid.

I think the problem is actually very simple: It's a korean game designed for korean players in mind. The game was sadly doomed to fail from Day 1 when it released to the west. There has been many korean MMO which simply don't fit western mentality. Usually after 1-2 years into it's western life cycle, you got a small portion of the playerbase left playing because they are addicted and can't quit. 2 years after that, more people left and it's literally 2-3k players... the hardcores who will stick with it until servers are shut down. I know this all sounds very doomer but... I've seen this situation multiple times.... Vindictus, TERA, Blade & Soul... the parallels with western Lost Ark are crazy. And korea? Probably still goes for a very long time. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

@@Eisi0wns It's simpler than that. Smilegate and AGS have refused to properly adapt the game to the Western mentality. However, they are doing so in China, introducing the new raids tremendously nerfed to make them accessible to all Chinese players. Do you think Smilegate would ever consider introducing the Thaemine raid in China with the difficulty they introduced it here? Not a chance.

@@Jaigarber China is more money than they could ever make in the west. Of course they cater more to them. West in korea is seen as a laughing stock and milking station. It has always been like that.

I really hope LOA ON addresses some of the big issues about the game, but I feel as though that would cause a fundamental change in the game itself. I've had numerous friends quit the game because they were burned out with bad pugs, and in guilds flaming because no one wanted to teach raids. It is also hard explaining to new players who use a pass what every system does and how everything is a grind to power your characters...let alone teaching the raids. While there are amazing streamers who help and teach, and put out amazing videos...it shouldn't be on the community itself to break down everything. That is absent fatigue, systems, and more. As you said, the gameplay itself is amazing, but everything around it could be drastically improved for a huge benefit.

@@rjacks3284 The thing is…I wonder how much creative freedom they actually have over the game (if any). If they are beholden to Smilegate approval, or if their license doesnt give them discretion to make improvements…then it is completely out of their hands. I really hope this LOA ON is a success because the gameplay is soooo good, but the game overall can be so much better.

I think you resume pretty well what i'm expecting in this LOA. Solo content Rework elixir/transcendance (or at least lower a lot the price) And want to see what going on next (futur raid etc). Global version as been on a excessive speed since launch because they try to make global and kr as close as possible. I don't feel like I have the time to prepare enought like i want if I don't play 24/24 and I don't feel like playing that much either. Well I'm playing at my own space and that good enought but still leave time to time a bit of bitter taste. The game has great raid and fight so I'll still enjoy as much as I can

As a new Player I'm suffering with pheons, like if i wanna play a new character i have to create another account to actually be able to play it while on my main account i don't have enough pheons to build my engravings on any character i wanna try out

My honest expectation of this LoaOn is it isn't going to satisfy the playerbase in any region. The game needs a serious overhaul if they want to attract and keep new players - especially in the west - and the hardcore vets are uitting here too.

i belive in the end they will keep the game strict only in korea because they like this stuff,1 shot mechs, pheons, rng based with alot of stuff,6 chars farm starts to become overwhelming...

tbf they should just keep adding layered armor like thaemine armor etc forward cuz honing moer than +18 is hell and top of that u add elixir and transcend with 0 progress if you failed the rng

You said already everything, what everyone expect from this. But im pretty sure we will get also more bad systems in future ingame. Its RMT designed, so why giving free mats and nerfing more and more to playerbase. I personally reduced gaming time and Chars only from 6 to my Main Char. Cause doing Same raids multiple times on 6 Chars feels so Bad and tired, also the fact that Theamine needs Sometimes couple of hours Clearing it ones. So i mean, If not big Changes will come like better cinematics, etc. Game will die 100%. Fact still playing this with unreal 3 Engine. Other Games still Looks better 😎

They have to address the problems for returning players and new players. I returned for a bit during the road to Thaemine event on na and gave up two days after returning, because I can't even get into any parties to do anything meaning I have no gold to progress my character. Also booster events are nice but they're band aid fixes that don't even stay, idk how it would be for new players but after the event idk how they would even manage now that the free engravings are gone. It all still stems from the fact that Lost Ark players are busy people and they don't want to waste time. I like Lost Ark and I wish I could invite friends to revisit it again, but as it is rn Lost Ark is pretty much unplayable. Not to mention the fact that to do quite a bit you need Crystaline aura and without a steady source of gold that's just not happening (not to mention the absurd exchange rates)

It's very bad for those who want to create a new character or change their build, besides being RNG and needing pheons to buy, and no one sells that either

Solo raid if implemeting correctly with proper reward is the only thing I can see saving this game in the West, if not it is gg. Steam chart and revenue chart have indicated a lot of people quitted or consider quitting for the past couple weeks. This would lead to a scenario that this game only run by around 5-10k whales by the end of this year if things did not improve.

Do you think really that whales still play this Game now? Ive Seen many quit or selling Accounts in EUC. Only Hardcore / Prog. Players in their statics, busdrivers and a small group of casual F2P still play this Game. Most of whales gone, for sure.

I really hate this community! I hope they make solo content in a way that allows for the same progress as doing 8-man raids... I'm more of a solo player than into this gatekeeping stuff.
