i listened to this song when me and the mother of my child broke up and all those feels came rushing back: when we first met, our first kiss, our first intimate moment and our first child and honestly it was the hardest year of my life. One day sent her this video with the lyrics attached and she said she cried cause she thought about the same things: that was 5 yrs ago we now have 2 kids and are doing great getting married in OCT and I owe it all to metal and Killswitch Engage! So from the Nelson family: thank you Live hard, Love hard, Be good to one another, and Rock On!

It isn't as heavy as the two previous KsE albums with Howard and also since the new producer (Brendan O'Brien) took the lead, so Adam probably had to step back a bit. However, when I first heard this record, I really enjoyed it. It was something a bit different.

MAPLE SYRUP oh so I guess rapping is super cool when all you do in rapping is bitching or bragging about your life, there’s no soul in it, it’s all the same shit, it’s either about all the criminal shit you’ve done, or how much fucking money you have or all the same generic I suffered as a kid shit, Metal is nothing like that and it’s not always screaming, metal can be about anything and it actually has heart and soul to it, not like rapping which 95% of it is garbage, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent even said in a interview that most of rap is the same shit and they’re completely right, rap does not take talent, end of story

I mean if Howard never came this band would never have gone to new heights from '02 til his departure. I couldn’t imagine some other vocalist in Howard’s spot except Jesse, Jesse is awesome. I mean Phil from All That Remains tried out for auditions but Howard got the spot, thank God.
@bonesthemetalcatdad36184 жыл бұрын
Howard is better at singing. Jesse is better at screaming. But both are good at both. Hard to say that they would have never reached the heights that they reached if it weren't for Howard because nobody knows that. Even before Howard joined they put out Alive or Just Breathing and that album was (and still is) considered to be one of the greatest metalcore albums ever made, and most people still consider it their best album. Go back in time to where we started Can we start again? What we have can't be discarded Do you remember the promises we made? But somehow we have lost our way Take me back to where my heart belongs Forever made for every day I know that you doubt my words I swear there will never be regret Can we start again? We thought love was everlasting Can we start again? What we had just can't be wasted Silent thoughts were broken And words that can't be taken back But you mean so much more to me Than anything, anything I've ever known And this is the hope for tomorrow That today you will return Can we start again? Go back in time to where we started Can we start again? What we have can't be discarded Can we start again? (Do you remember?) Can we start again? Can we start again?
