I remember when I was first getting into metal back when I was around 14/15 and I was randomly browsing the On Demand music videos and I kept randomly checking out each band listed and when I got to KSE, it was this video and it blew me away. I was used to hearing very harsh metal vocal stylings (a friend of mine introduced me to bands like Korn and Disturbed to get me into metal and while not "harsh" vocalists, they weren't very smooth clean vocalists) but the smoothness and richness of Howard's voice drew me in and how it seemed to have a never ending well of power. The guitars soared and had such a crisp sound to the riffs and the drums carried that resonance with a crashing force. To top it all off, Adam D's background vox is fucking amazing. The part around 1:54-2:05 where he does back-up for Howard is haunting. I hold KSE with Howard in such high regard when it comes to my introduction into this music still to this day.

I am congratulating you. I thought the reason for your comment was to brag about liking Howard more then Jesse. So I said "good for you", Because really no one gives a fuck.

The lyrics are about depression, the man is jumping because of his sorrow, but others can interpret it as jumping to save himself from the fire. However I believe that the fire is a representation of his sorrow, and he's trying to escape it. Some of the apartment occupants may also represent his sorrow, with the girlfriend slapping her boyfriend symbolizing a broken relationship and the jump rope hitting his foot representing imperfection.

I’m glad someone analyzed the video... it also looks like the... symbolic persona jumping off the building decided it wanted to live after all, on the way down.. and ultimately climbed out of the water.

STILL LOVING IT in August 2024. I always remember when Jesse left and Howard showed up. I felt sorry because Howie's voice looked kinda another band.. But later, i fell in love with Howie's voice and missed him so much when he left. His voice got such a new breathe for KSE that we'll never forget. He's one of those voices nobody has equal. THANKS Howard and KSE for so many unforgettable anthems like this one. Still enjoying Jesse's but will always love Howard's

I just recently discovered your music. I fucking love it. I'm an old metal head, just was never into the growling and stuff until now. I find your music to be completely badass, beautiful and positive. I also found that when I'm having a bad night of PTSD, it's been your music that has been looping in my head, replacing what's usually there. That has brought me peace. Thankyou so fucking much KSE. I hope that maybe someday you read this and know that you helped someone with your music.
