I’d watch anything from Cooley. His vernacular, choice of words and flow is the best in the industry.

4:53 Isn't that part of the garbage can used when the truck picks the can up? Wouldn't the garbage truck completely mangle that bracket?

I have a 100 yard driveway...I pull my wheeled garbage can to the street 2 ways. One with my Honda Insight using a tie down strap, wrap the hook end through the handle then hook it to the other end hook, then put it in the trunk and close the trunk. It locks the strap in place. The second way is hang the handle on the trashcan over my pickup hitch. Either way is simple and it never fails...and I didn't have to buy anything.

Did my homework 2 months ago, needed it for a drop off location very far away, so looked at all these options. Availability was very, VERY limited at that time. Didn't want to get trailer hitch for a LEASED vehicle, so settled for now with the bungee cord solution to the back of a electric golf cart.

Thank you 🙏. This is 100% truth living in rural area with a long dirt gravel road driveway. We’ve done it all, except for these gadgets. Walking, hand dragging out the window/trunk/motorcycle/quad, lawnmower, lifting the garbage + recycle up on the truck, and riding the cans up in the tractor bin. When you have shitty weather like cold/rain/ice/snow….it’s a pain & just sucks. Still searching for a quieter system, and Saving money for a general & small trailer…

I always enjoy videos by Brian. In fact, I have just bought a house with a somewhat long and steep driveway. I don't have a means to tow though. Guess that will be Step 1. Thanks for the exact information I was looking for Brian.

I once served an old lady born in a barn, a cup of coffee and warned that the coffee was strong. She said there was no such thing as strong coffee, just weak people. I think about that a lot.

Thank you, I was thinking of how I was going to curb our trash, recycle bins 600ft away. Thank you I don't think we are moving from the suburbs in the Silicon Valley CA to the exurbs it's more mountain/rural population 1,272 . We love the idea of living away from "it" all but I admit it will be a learning curb and a slow transition as we adjust. Thank you for the video. I have a lot to learn. Angel from The Bay

This is a significant video. Our problem is we have to drag the garbage containers uphill when full and downhill when empty. I like the cansporter better because we can have deep snow. But it looks harder because you have to lift the container when hooking up.

I put a Reese hitch w/trailer ball on my riding mower for moving trailers around the yard. This would work good on the lawn tractor but not worth the effort for putting on and off once a week for my vehicle.

What about people with no driveways in the suburbs but lots of steps, hills due to front laws, and sidewalks… lol my garbage can can’t get down our front yard on the slope without falling. Can’t pull it down the cement steps to the side walk. There’s no car that can go on the yard it’s too small and steep.

@Lucky8s3 жыл бұрын
I don't live in the situation as described, but I would not start my car, drive it a few meters, and then shut it down. It's a waste of gas and the battery isn't getting replenished from the crank over. The extremely simple solution is just a similar tool that attaches to both trashcans, holds them in place, and then you can just move both from one single point.

@miguelbaeza653 жыл бұрын
So let me get this straight, you have to purchase this devices in order to tow your garbage to the road. Not only that, but installing the garbage cans into the vehicle and detaching them takes more time than what you could of done by just taking it by yourself walking.
