Nice easy fix, ive never seen the rod ends stretch, usually they just snap

My thought exactly - I was surprised they stretched like that!

@@RoadsideRC i just got ours last week, and my son been running it pretty hard. Does you SRR fish tail like crazy on 8S? Mine going straight just fish tails like crazy and I thought it was the links, but they seem good. Tip?

@@arod7130 Yeah - mine did that as well. Was almost impossible to control on 8S and full power.

@@RoadsideRC so this is normal? Any upgrades that you’ve come across that helps? Almost feels Like it need more weight in the rear.

They consumed a lot but did not break at least👍, there are no aluminum upgrades?
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
No aluminum upgrades for these ends. Hopefully it really will not need it. These only stretched with a VERY HARD hit.
@drrcstunt5 жыл бұрын
Pity that they do not make them, yes I have seen they have lengthened a lot
@ReadySetRC5 жыл бұрын
Check out your shock rod end they could be the same size as the link rod end. If so, part LOS254034 would have worked.

Any chance you would be able to do a video on how to take the front bumper of. I’ve removed all four screws. And tried to gently pry it off. No luck. Would you be able to tell us what I am missing?
@RoadsideRC4 жыл бұрын
Check out my video on fixing the front diff. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIiwppl5iLVjlZo To get it out, you have to go ALL THE WAY into the truck. Including getting the front bumper off.

So tempted to sell my udr and get one of these! 😍
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
Tempting, I do get that. I have been a little disappointed with (1) the expense of having to put in a new servo and mount & the aluminum front spindles (2) how bloody hard it is to work on! Other than that, it is really cool scale looking and fun to drive!
@timmytfpv73164 жыл бұрын
Roadside RC hello im looking to buy one i know i have to put a 1/5 servo and spindles anything else i should buy to make it stronger i really want it for the looks and the fun factor

What is the diameter of the threading that goes into those ends? If they are around 4-5mm you might be able to use the ends from the 6s Arrma stuff (where you may have to cut them to the proper length, cause they are pretty long). In my last running video, I broke a camber link on my Yeti XL, and fashioned new ones with (I'm not sure where the link came from) a 5mm steel link threaded into I believe are the Arrma rear link ends (not really sure, because when you get the Arrma ball end set, you get every conceivable one). I just mixed and matched them until I got the length that I needed (the straight ones, as some are angled). Might be worth looking into.
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
Good call! You are right that those seem roughly the same size threads in my mind.
@ToGrimmToWin5 жыл бұрын
The rod it’s self is 10mm I think so not sure on those being 5mm threads I’d thing 6-8mm but could be wrong

Hugh and beefy! Awesome upgrades man.. any issue with the steering on Beast?
@RoadsideRC5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Unfortunately, yes with steering issues. The factory servo is junk. It is also not a standard scale size. So, we had to buy the 1/5 servo mount ($70) and a 1/5 servo ($$$). Pretty sad on that front. It was a lot of extra $$$ on an already expensive truck.
@CommanderAstigRC5 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC I hear you brother. As you may know the servo that came with Yeti XL is also JUNK!! I've fully upgraded the front end of my Yeti XL and seems smooth steering so far. I know steering slop was an issue with Yeti XL for alot of guys. Upgrades definitely made a tons of difference.

In my case - plastic end parts yanked out from the metal part screw. As there is no official aluminium ending part, I am going to try this from aliexpress: www.aliexpress.com/item/32820426343.html. But first I have to make some measurements of the plastic one.

Good luck! I hope it works, as it is certainly a needed upgrade. I always wished RPM would come out with a strong end for it.
