26th Lés-a-Lés Stage 3: Conquering the Peaks from Covilhã to Penafiel

The final stage of the 26th Lés-a-Lés began with sleepy faces all around, but the excitement soon took over. After two grueling stages, we embarked on the shortest yet most exhilarating leg of our journey, crossing two majestic mountain ranges, including Portugal's highest peak.
As we left Covilhã and began our ascent, the epic twisties and magnificent views snapped everyone to life.
The off-road sections were nothing short of fascinating, adding to the thrill of the day. Each turn brought us to another breathtaking location, culminating in the surreal experience of riding through the clouds atop Serra da Estrela.
The weather threatened us throughout, but we managed to evade the rain, as if by some miracle!
The route was a rider’s dream-great roads, stunning scenery, delicious food, and historic monuments. The epic finish at the stunning Sameiro Church in Penafiel was the perfect end to this unforgettable adventure.
Despite the challenges, the crowd's spirits remained high until the very end, and the desire to return next year was unanimous.
