Another excellent video Tony. You are are forgiven for not having a Mountjuic walking tour guide yet!! We have been planning our late June 2024 trip for a couple of months now and even with classics around like Rick Steeves I think your productions have had the greatest impact on our plans by far. Your graphics are very good. As is the editing. Also the cadence and enunciation of your English is very good. This looks like an excellent choice for a second career later in life. You and your wife are doing Spain (and Portugal) a great service. I only hope we can find such good advice when we go to another European country. For our first trip we will arrive in Madrid for 7 days including 2 day trips, then take the fast train to Barcelona for another 5 days with 1 day trip. We will for sure provide you feedback on your walking tour guides when we get back. Much appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Yes! The cities outside Madrid such as Salamanca, Segovia , Avila, Toledo are all incredible! I attended university in Salamanca so most of my time was spent there.

Your videos are just remarkable. I am planning to return to Spain after being away for 40 years, and the changes are incredible. I was wondering if you have these videos in Spanish? I am sure many folks would like to brush up on the language while watching your amazing content. Also I am sure there are folks who don't speak English that would benefit from them as well.

My last trip to Spain, I flew out of Madrid and caught my flight home on the same day I left Valencia. Needless to say it was pretty stressful and this trip I’m spending 2 nights in Madrid, after a week in Malaga, before I fly home. Lesson learned 😅😊
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal9 ай бұрын
Yes, people are not aware of the amount of stress involved in those same day connections.

Hello Tony, thanks for all your insightful videos. I will be visiting Portugal and will be spending sometime in Lisbon, Albufeira and Porto. I would love to make a trip to Spain and was wondering which of these cities in Portugal will be easier to travel from to Spain. Thanks

Hi Tony, Thank you so much for all your insightful videos. I am going to Spain in 2 weeks, but only found out about your videos in the last few days. Wish I had come across your vidoes earlier, that would have made my planning stage so much easier!! Question : we will be arriving at around 8.30am in Madrid airport after 14 hrs flight, planning to take a taxi to our hotel - UVE Mercado (near the Chamartin area) to drop our luggage. Their checkin time is not until 1pm though. Any suggestions what can do to 'kill time' relaxingly, sit around or rest up a bit before the checkin time as we will be so tired....
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal6 ай бұрын
Hello there, glad we are being helpful! There is nothing particularly exciting near your hotel. Either you wait at the hotel or a café nearby, or leave your luggage at the hotel and being exploring Madrid. All the best!

Hola Tony- Your channel is great and so helpful.... thank you. We're planning our first trip to Spain with Madrid, Grenada, Nerja, and Seville on our itinerary. We'll fly into Madrid and spend 5 nights/4 days and then are planning to take the train to Grenada for 2 nights/days, take a local bus to Nerja for 2 nights/days, then another bus to Seville for 4 nights/days, and fly back to the States from Seville. We don't have to return to Madrid. Does this itinerary sound feasible? How about the local bus service from Grenada to Nerja to Seville? Is that a reasonable way to go? Thank you very much in advance for any guidance or suggestions you can provide.

Hola Tony, incredible videos once again! I am starting my Spain trip in Nov at Bilbao airport, then going on to St Sebastian that same day. I know you mentioned to leave the airport by cab if possible, but is that only for Madrid & Barcelona airports? I read there’s a bus that goes direct from Bilbao to SS and I was thinking of catching it. Is there a fixed taxi rate from Bilbao airport to SS like there is from Madrid/Barcelona airports to their centres? We are a group of 3 from Singapore and have never been to Spain before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!😅😅😅
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal6 ай бұрын
Hello there, our advice about airport taxis applies to Madrid, where they operate with a flat fare. We've never flown to Bilbao airport but suspect a taxi to San Sebastián might be quite expensive. Take the bus. Sorry we cannot share any first-hand information on the topic. Have a great trip!

Hi! I appreciated your work, you help us during our trip in April. We did Porto, Cascai and Lisbon. Thanks for your tips. Inhave a question. We are planning to go in Spain next year. We heard all kind of comment regarding tourist in Spain, they are not welcome. Just need to know if this is bad or we can plan and go? Thanks both of you
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal8 ай бұрын
Hi Claude, there is a strong movement in Spain, Portugal and many other countries around the world, against the excesses of over tourism. But tourists are more than welcome in Spain, the situation is not different from that in Portugal.

We have no idea, you will have to check with Vueling themselves.
