Thanks for the video, I live in Bishop and have been fishing North Lake for over 40 years. My favorite spot is near the outlet where the deep water meets the shallow area. I generally use black matukas and green wooley buggers with a bubble and fly rig with a four foot long 4lb test leader attached to 6lb green camo line on the spool. I once caught over 80 trout, both rainbows and browns (catch & release), in a three hour period fishing at that spot. I have also float tubed in the lake many times sometimes catching 4 and 5 pounders with a bubble and fly rig and with a fly rod.

Caught about 25 in a hour and a half at that 1st family spot. Best fishing of my life. Never seen that many fish attacking bait. Or just seeing fish. You look down in the water and see 20 just swimming around. No time to waste, throw your line in and it’s getting hit instantly. Awesome lake. Never had a fishing day like that down here in the IE.

Thanks man, your videos make a difference in my reintroduction to fishing. I'm heading up 395 to backpack Big Pine lakes with a friend again and trying to brush up on good spots to hit before and after. I've Fished MFBC a bunch for fun but Never the lakes up there. If you make another video of a 20 mile radius around Bishop before Oct 13, I'd love to watch it. Thanks again.

I've killed it there w/an Egg Pattern or especially on a Copper John w/a tiny Zebra Midge dropper. Huge trout love tiny nymphs!

You forgot to mention that one of the screen savers on Mac computers was shot from North lake!
