I follow a lot of KZbinr nomads with pets, but you are the one I worry about the most. Your connection with Blue is so deep and it's obvious how much you adore him. That old saying is true: Dogs give us MANY of the best days of our lives and ONE of the worst days of our lives. It's particularly difficult when our dogs (or other pets) are suffering from something serious. I'm not sure who decided that dogs don't have life spans like humans ... but it SUCKS!!! I've done this. But it wasn't for fun or travel. It was because my college roomie bailed a month into the semester and I couldn't afford the apartment on my own. So I moved into my car for the rest of the semester. I had an old car, backseat big enough to stretch out and sleep. Showered at the gym, did my studying in the library, hung out in the student center to get out of the car.

Since I found out about Blue..I have been checking on any updates..hoping that he is doing well ..I know how it is..I lost my little girl Tootsie 2 years ago to cancer..she was a mix terrier and had her for 10 years. She lasted 4 months after the diagnosis. Hang in there!! Praying 🙏.

I budget $2/meal $180/mo. I end up spending less though. I also budget $25/week on gas. I am always going into a grocery store looking foe sale/clearance items. Non-perishable preferred first. Have you tried the plant based taco meat ?!? It is sooo good... PRO TIP for the laundry mat. Look for laundry container someone threw away because 9 times out of 10 there is enough detergent left in there to do your laundry. Just toss the whole container in with your laundry.

Keep an eye out for snakes especially before your coffee. I woke up next to a rattler at my feet outside my sleeping bag on the US 395 corridor at an idyllic riparian zone at 6.000 feet. Saw a dozen more that day.

For insect stings (we have a LOT of yellowjackets where I live) it's good to carry a little bottle of ammonia (a pill bottle would probably be good - easily accessible and keep it in the cup holder or ashtray of your rig where you can get to it immediately) ..... RIGHT after you get stung apply some (I just stick my finger in and dot it on the sting) to the sting. When I catch it right away it never swells up, there's little or no pain and you barely remember you got stung. Oh --- and those are the most beautiful, jammy eggs I've ever seen!!!

The best thing I've ever discovered is plantain (plantago - herb not banana) poultice for bee stings.I would have nasty reactions to bee stings otherwise, but as long as I get plantain on my stings, not only do I not have reactions, it takes away the pain.

Omg I apologize, but I laughed so hard when you mentioned the new sting. I know this is an older video. I just discovered your channel a day or so ago but thank you for stating the possibility to live that way cheaply. I'm used to pinching pennies and there are so many that make it sound so crazy expensive but if you're going at a slow pace so you can see everything you want, you don't have to spend a ton on gas daily especially if you can stay a bit. I got stung on the leg this summer by the largest wasp I've ever seen (he/she is dead now). That lump hurt for DAYS. I too forgot how much they hurt! Someone at work told me that wasp venom is used for medicinal purposes, so I just considered it a health shot.

Quick relief for the bee sting is to chew and add saliva to tobacco from a cigarette, making a poultice and applying it to the sting. This gives immediate relief and is an old fashion treatment by farmers.
