@@leif1075 Twisted is a retelling of Aladdin where Ja'far is the nice guy and Aladdin the bad guy. He is singing to noone in this song, just to the audience. The musical is free on KZbin, it's extremely funny and very emotional so I recommend you watch it!!

Dylan's performance of this has made me cry more times than I care to admit, he truly pours himself into each song. However AJ makes it seem so effortless and I have Wizard of the year and listen to your heart fighting over each other to play on loop in my head

Honestly, no offense to Dylan's performance of this role (which brings to tears TO THIS DAY). However, there is probably something telling about the fact that if you asked me what a kind, heroic version of Jafar would look like, A.J Holmes is pretty much exactly what I would imagine. I'm just saying, another production or even a concert version with AJ in costume might be fun.
