It's time people! With that sweet twin turbo sound, the 2020 C8 Corvette is alive and kicking. Big shoutout to everyone who made this build possible (links below). This is the third and final episode of the Twin Turbo C8 build series, where we'll be doing wide-open throttle pulls on the dyno with Peitz Performance as we dial this beast in. We also installed the meth tank that comes with the kit before getting started. Fortunately, our friends at HP Tuners released their Global B support for native ECU tuning which we can't wait to show you the results from.
Our initial goal was 700 horsepower, but as you can see from the video title, we exceeded those expectations significantly. Our client Chad said he wanted more power, and with the boost controller, we were able to deliver exactly that. We'll show you both the before and after dyno graphs in the video for comparison.
After we finished up on the dyno, we took the Twin Turbo C8 out on the road to complete the street tuning portion of the build, and man, were we amazed at the sound of this thing!
The exhaust is crazy, and you might see a fireball or two, as we roll around on the epic Brixton Forged R11-R Carbon Fiber Wheels. 😈 🔥.

I notice in a lot of those street pulls you're either losing traction or that clutch is slipping. It's a cool setup though. I've got one from Cicio that's a blast as well. Good luck dialing in the rest and I'm sure the owner is going to love it!

@jamesjmluke1217 they can't. I had the 600 package and within a few weeks my clutch was slipping. So it's back with Cicio for a clutch, some extra goodies, and a tune.

@suicideXembrace let me know how it goes, I've been researching and studying how to or who will make a heavy severe duty TR 9080. If you can't efficiently effectively use 700whp without spinning or slipping, what use is it ?

California is limited to 91 Octane Fuel. Best guess, just running 91 Octane with no methane or water injection. What horsepower do you think you safely squeeze out of a C8 twin Turbo ?

It's made my C7 Carbon, but it's a pain to install and if you don't want to wait a year for it, I wouldn't bother. Sadly their lead time are horrible, customer service is questionable at best, and they give you zero instructions for installs. I've bought a handful of things from them and it's not been a good experience.

Thanks for the video. However, I've seen other companies crank out 650-700 WHP with only 6-7 pounds of boost. So I am not sure why you guys had to start with 9 PSI. Also, the jump from 9 PSI to 15 PSI is pretty significant but unfortunately, it doesn't reflect the same increase on the dyno numbers. Sorry, I am not bashing or anything but just my observations since I also want a TT setup for my C8

No problem- we appreciate the comment and your observations. There are so many variables that go into tuning these things- as well as dyno numbers….temps, fueling, what kind of dyno, what timing they were running…etc. we elected to keep timing pretty conservative at 9 psi…because the goal was 700 rwhp. We could have probably squeezed another 30-40 out on 9 psi honestly… As for the jump from 9 to 15, power is pretty spot on where it should be. 182 WHEEL hp gain, same conservative timing…with 6 more lbs. We could have hit the 200+ wheel gain mark going to 15 lbs but we are happy where it’s at. A camshaft will really make this set up more efficient too. This is all going through a stock cam.

I want to see some 60-130 times and some 1/4 mile times. Dyno numbers are really not important if the drivability/performance is terrible

That's a bad ass C8, nice job. It is truly sad there are idiots out there that would say nonsense like that, only 700whp... Bla bla. Ignore the morons, my question is where the hell are you gonna use all that power?!? My ZL1 puts 640whp and the opportunity to use even that are too few. If I didn't live next to a canal that has just over half a mile of straight road with no turn ins till the end I'd have no real chance to run it up without risking trouble as you can hear this thing a mile away.

I agree. 704 felt really good. 15 lbs is just crazy. I try to stay in it in the video but half throttle is pretty nice and then 100% throttle is next level. Car has no traction but is still hell of a blast to drive around. Honestly, half throttle pulls are so much fun...I love it. Thanks!

@@floridahighperformance you're gonna do real well for yourself, don't grow to fast, control is the key to building crazy fast cars and a booming business. The C8 s cool but the Pumpkin still is an awesome machine, there's so few ZL1's out there, believe it or not there's more C8's on the road than ZL1's, I've seen only a handful in my travels. The last one I've seen was on I 95 and it was incredibly loud and totally blacked out. Not to mention it's impossible to mistake an SS for a ZL1.
