What a treat, Thank you. I am sitting here at home in Palm Springs during the covid pandemic. This summer we have seen 120 degrees several times. This video is just what I needed to cool off.

These engines are more than capable to provide the power required in fact they thrive on cold air.The COLDER THE BETTER for them. Throttling back is not going into idle mode it’s the engines going from a max continuous or take off setting to a climb power setting. Once your in a stabilised climb the engines don’t require all that power. The hard work has been done getting you in the air👍👍 in fact by keeping the engines in a max continuous power setting or take off power is actually reducing the life of the turbine wheels in the engines. These engines loved to be worked hard!!! To make them work even harder run all the air conditioning packs and anti ice bleed air and they still produce all the power you need very easily. THEY LOVE IT!!!

I just finished watching your London/Reykjavik round trip with a great deal of interest and even revisited some of the more spectacular footage you published. I especially enjoyed the contrasting colors on your approach and departure to and from Reykjavik. Although relatively older aircraft, the rate of climb for the B757 and B767 is most impressive. Thank-you for taking the time to publish these videos. Hopefully one day, I will be the one with the opportunity to share my experiences to and from Reykjavik while flying.

Don't understand why so many of these with more time for cabin-taxi than takeoff. I wish this had most time on take-off and flight. It - the little there is of it - was beautiful.

Funny how the pilot accelerates the engines for longer than usual and eventually applies takeoff thrust. Does it have to do with the icy conditions?
@craigeagle92094 жыл бұрын
It's to build the torque up on the Engines due to the cold weather as they tend to spool up slower

is it true they used to use 3 of this to power the 747-100 or 200?
@ByteTravel4 жыл бұрын
You would find this family of engines on the BA Boeing 767 aircraft before they were all scrapped, and many Boeing 747-400s out there.
@integralmath6 жыл бұрын
In your description neither time you give for when the plane takes off is correct. It's a bit odd that you were able to type two separate times for one flight's takeoff time and fail to realize that at least one had to be wrong. But you managed to two make both incorrect. That takes talent I guess.
@ByteTravel6 жыл бұрын
The Justicar In my videos I give the takeoff time as the point when the aircraft is cleared to taxi onto the runway to begin the takeoff roll - that was the first time in the description. The second was indeed incorrect - I have now removed that. My apologies for the mistake.

@woahspaghetti60697 жыл бұрын
Yea but the 757 is just about 1 billion times better then the a321
@erikc17757 жыл бұрын
The sound is great (the heck, what else would you except from two Rolls Royce engines?) but the new a321NEO LR is far better than a 757. Well, maybe comfort is similar which is around the neighborhood of none existing, especially when compared to the larger airplanes. Its funny actually. The a321 has always been the "ugly duckling" of the airplane world. It has been neglected by everyone in favor of the a320 and the larger 737s. That has changed though. First the Charter airlines in Europe found out that it was a thing, then the low cost carriers found out what it was really capable of doing. Now its starting to claim a market which without the 757 is empty of rivals. The "ugly duckling" is becoming a swan so for everyones sake Boeing get your fingers out of your a** and start working on something that can compete with it before its too late.

Scolopendra4Life UNfortunately, they no longer make them, basically because of AIR TRAFFIC PROBLEMS, TYPICALLY THERE IS A 3 MILE SEPERATION, BUT WITH A. B757, that separation now becomes a whopping 5 Miles ,so it put the screws to things,after a Aircraft were following the normal , and crashed, 1st was a CESSNA CITATION, THE OTHER WAS A WESTLAND, BOTH PRIVATE JETS. SO THATS HOW THE 5 MILE SEPERATION CAME ABOUT.

I love it but did the deice the plane
@ByteTravel7 жыл бұрын
etihad geek Yes they de-iced the aircraft before I started filming this. Not completely though - you can still see snow on top of the engine, and even in the corner of the window as you can see here on the bottom right-hand side.
