A Brit talking about chips n potatoes in one sentence means it’s Christmas and the next thing you tell me is that ketchup is basically tomatoes n vinegar lmao

I suppose, as roast tatties need very hot oil, and basting, in essence they're being fried in the oven anyway.

He had overworked himself to the degree his mental health suffered. This is likely the side effect of the medication or a combination of both. Hope he gets well soon. ❤

No he’s really not well. Think he was recently admitted to a psyche ward by his wife for troubling behaviour. Unfortunately, he’s a casualty of the industry and he’s likely had this effect on many a chef

@@MrZSimko This and as Bossman674 said. Severely harsh work in a rough environment and "ignoring" your health (physical and mental) for so long will take its toll on anyone eventually. I say ignoring very loosely as in his case, like many even, he was unaware of his condition, and likely worked literally pass them to build his restaurants to what they are now. His speech is definitely likely due to medications which can slow your speech and even your movement down (SSRIs, anti-psychotics, anti-anxiety are downers basically). I would say he's likely and I hope in a better place now and slowly getting better and finding the ways to where he can slow down his demanding work life and live a healthier and more relaxing life now. I think he deserves and earned it at this point. He should be taking a step back and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

He's been diagnosed as bipolar, so he's on some pretty strong medicines.

Wow, Heston Blumenthal never ceases to amaze with his genius culinary innovation! 🍽 I love the idea of pairing such exquisite roast potatoes with a gourmet Sunday roast. What’s the key secret to getting that glass-like crunch? Is there a particular type of potato you recommend using for best results? 🌿 Cheers to learning these amazing techniques from Michelin-starred chefs. Cooking definitely becomes a delightful experience with such expert advice!

Well, it wouldn't be a cooking demonstration then, would it? It would be an 'opening a packet' demonstration!
