Hello my friend 😘 I was preparing to make my baby sister, who is 70 years young today, I was preparing to make her your Ruumbledethumps meal 😘 That was until today's meal, just popped up.😘 Louise is on a soft diet,as she has swallowing difficulties 😘. And suffering from dementia.. 😘 I have a few hours before I visit her tonight,,,this is just perfect for her 😘. I have so much spinach growing in my garden we can treat her to extra helping. 😘. I love how your Rumbledetlhumps dish. 😘 Has nearly one million views.. 😘. Very well done young man. 😘

You're such a lovely person. Your sister is lucky to have you. I suspect everyone you know is grateful for you. Does she have trouble with liquids going down the wrong pipe? My FIL had that. They make a mix-in starch that thickens all liquids to make swallowing more reliable so nothing gets in the patient's lungs, if that helps.

Whenever the grocery store puts slightly wrinkly bell peppers on clearance, I buy them, roast them and freeze them. They’re useful for so many dishes! This looks like a good ‘un 😊.

I've just made this. It was so sweet and flavoursome. Wondered about the balsamic vinegar, I didn't need too. That roasted pepper sauce, I could quiet happily eat on its own by the spoon full. 😋

Rik, you did it again. I'm going to make this sauce when some of my red peppers come in. I should have a good crop this year. I love red pepper sauce so much. My most favorite is over a piece of Grilled Chilean Sea Bass or Halibut. Mmmmmmm You're the best Rik!

Rik i had a spicy tomato paste/spread with toast points as a starter, it was fantastic we went back for more but they wouldn’t give up the recipe. 😔 I love roasted red pepper soup too. You cant go wrong 👍🏼❤️

Oh my goodness I would eat that until I couldn't move! I would need to only make enough for exactly the portions I need for my family and then give myself my healthy portion and then not have any leftovers because that would be so hard to resist; it looks delicious!

A lovely job mate, 😋. With pasta sauces, my belief is that Italians always use a bit of the pasta water to it. Perhaps you might wish to try it. It is something that I have started to do of late and it does seem to make a difference as my families empty plates verify, 😊. Like deployed 👍

As fresh bell peppers must be used very quickly in my house to avoid spoilage a make ahead sauce is always a welcome idea, especially as I can save a couple dozen large peppers in one cooking effort. Yahoo money saved.

My two cents: I'd freeze the pepper puree and add the cream after defrosting and reheating but Rik would know best. I'd give the puree no more than a week in the fridge and again, only add the cream when you're serving it.

maybe a daft question.. but why remove the pepper skins? surely if they are all blended they will just "meld" into the paste? just a thought.. I am going to do this recipe for when one of the missis vegetarian friends come round in the week 👍

Red pepper purée is easy to make. You can freeze the roasted peppers, and it will be good for about three months. I leave the skins on as this is supposed to reduce freezer burn. I divide the portions into quantities of 150 to 200 grams. When I need a portion, I defrost it, and purée it. Any leftover can go in a salad or on a sandwich the next day.
