I love how this truck seems "thrown together" but you can tell the owner has been building and and piecing together what seems to work best for the owner. Id add a little weight to the rear to help with it wanting to do gymnastics going down. Such a great time to be in this hobby

Glad to see you helping the guy out with a repair job. The Super8s definitely benefit from the #3flow9rc delrin skids. I don't like AL/brass housings. They tend to stick and drag more on rocks. Love the wheel/tire combo. Seems like the JConcepts Tusks work well on your PA rocks. Wide and low with good front weight bias will always be a line killer.

Nice repair job!!! Hope you billed for tech time!!! Lol!!! This truck ripped, there's obviously a difference between scale and trail, keep it light to climb the height and a good wheelbase 👍 Rock on the wide 24th!!!

Trey, I think you should have people submit clips of their best lines and you watch them and rate them, I feel like it would be a good alternative to sending in their rigs in case they don't feel comfortable doing that

That looks like it has a fair amount of overdrive in the front. It's very noticeable in the video. It certainly seems to make it work well with the way the build is set up. Where my friends and I crawl, that much overdrive can be hit or miss.

Notice a lot of guys you know run inserts and I used to run them big time I have recently went back to foam dual stage and let me tell you it helps big time because on steep steep stuff are you getting that little bit of hop that foam calms it down also something else I know this is with the brass Super 8 gets hung up really really bad in my personal opinion I do have one but I feel like I'll probably take it off
@wingnutbert9685Ай бұрын
Sometimes Loc-tite is the call.......sometimes anti-seize is. Probably not a bad idea to key a few metric taps around in common sizes. Good to chase out holes before screwing in bolts. Kinda looks like the bolt got heat anodized so that may have softened the temper of the metal, making the threads wonky.
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
Another thing is I believe it's a weakness on Knuckles if you both the tie rod and the steering link to the same exact you know location the new super heavy Deluxe Knuckles the 22 gram brass knuckles that I run you bolt Deeds link up to the top of the knuckle and evoke the tie rod down to the bottom side it gives you incredible steering
@Gibsonlife5732 ай бұрын
Hello blow knuckle takes a 2 mm I Run 2 mm on all mine cuz it keeps you from snapping so easy and then up top where you got those spacers I tried to mainly run ltrp the little short screws cuz I feel like you know it's more compact you ain't putting so much Leverage on that screw you know and then it definitely keeps some turning very freely around that screw head

Well on the bright side there was something to grab onto with that screw! Lol "... i try to stay positive.. we're still positive." Nice build, i like how many different parts he used. I'm not into brass links, and that batt looks a bit big, nice rear chassis extender as i prefer more vertical shocks, performed well. I'm gonna have to try out a KillrChassis. 4/10? Ouch.
