This is so funny because a couple of days ago Footless Jo(a below the kneee one leg amputee) literally realeased a video about how everyone calls it “Knub” and “Knublet” instead of residual limb or stub. My two favorite content creator’s worlds colliding. Love it!

I'm missing my left foot due to a rare birth condition and I just call it "my leg" most of the time. If I need to be more specific, I'd probably call it "my stump." It's what my prosthetist of 17 years (3-20) called it so that's kinda become what I say too.

It really is nice to see. 🙂 I know you can’t “go there” with everybody, but when dark humor clicks, there’s nothing else quite like it. For me, it evokes the same feeling as hanging out with that group of friends who are completely at ease with themselves and the world, warts and all. The "scare kids" joke made me laugh because when I was a kid, I sucked my thumb, and one day I was in the car alone waiting for my mom, who'd run into the library to drop off books, when a man came up to the open window (I know, this was the 90s, we hadn't invented fear yet) and said "you a thumb sucker? yeaaaahh I used to suck my thumb too... then one day... I'm an above knee amputee on the right size. I call my stump(lol) Peggy and I love jokes and joking about the whole thing's.
