Watching this, you can tell she has serious talent in comedy, public speaking *and* speech writing. Really, all of the beats are there, the jokes, the set up, punchline, pay-off, the natural ability to diffuse and relate. Ending on something meaningful, rounding out jokes and bringing them back! Using her mic and stand as props, and hand gestures to emphasis and even elevate her jokes! Truly flawless execution. You can tell she’s a seasoned professional. And after watching this in it’s entirety I see that you’re right, to me you’ve become the great comedian Ashley Gavin, who happens to be a lesbian. You deserve to have people excited to hear what you come up with next and not just expect the same thing from you. At first I did see you as the lesbian comedian, because almost all your short form content I was exposed to was LGBTQIA+ related in some way. But now I am so truly happy to have been able to watch your work, your charisma and character. To me, you really have the depth of comedians like Bo Burnham. Maybe you don’t always get it right, but you’re motivated to break the mold in a sincere and positive kind of way. And are completely ready and willing to own up to any mistakes you may have made along the way. Not like Ricky Gervais or Dave Chapelle that think challenging the form makes them above doing something wrong. The whole time, especially in the first half, you were actively engaged with the reaction of your audience and wanting to break their hesitation and win them over; instead of being mad that they just didn’t agree with your joke. I don’t know if I’ll agree with every joke you ever make, that probably comes with the territory. But you say you want your comedy to be for everyone and you work hard towards it, and it shows. You are honestly a credit to comedy in general. It truly feels like a privilege to have seen you work.

Netflix is kinda the worst option these days. They've cut funding on their comedy specials. While they used to pay really well for them, Comedians will actually be way better off producing their own specials on their YT channels like this....they'll make more in the long-run and maintain ownership of their special.

After this special, I've gotten much better at raising an outside baby. We trusted its instincts and built a small aquarium for it to swim freely. After a few days being sealed in, my outside baby is floating quite happily, barely a sound!

I've already watched this twice, and I've been itching to watch it again. I have been catching up with the Chosen Family Podcast, and I just came across the episode in which you talk about how such a small percentage of your fans watched it. I just wanted to say that I love you special as much as my all-time favorite special which I have seen maybe 5 times. And I am an avid consumer of stand-up. I took stand-up comedy writing in grad school even and had to regularly try jokes on the class and the final was performing a full 10 minute set. I watch clips and full specials all the time, and you truly are a master craftsman. Your crowd work is so good, but your written, crafted jokes are so well-written and thought out. It's hilarious and so impressive. I wish I could get everyone I know, and everyone else, to see your art and appreciate it as they should. I appreciate you. I'm sorry you have worked so hard for years, climbing up a mountain with little to no help, watching comedians lightyears behind you in skill level getting handed opportunities just because they are straight or hot, and creating truly hilarious and brilliantly formed comedy just to be underappreciated. I LOVE your comedy. I LOVE your work. PLEASE do what you need to take care of yourself and fulfill the needs and desires of your soul. But know that I will here ready to consume everything you choose graciously create. I know there are others like me, and I know that a small crowd is not sustainable long-term, but I just had to share. Your work has changed my life. Thank you.

As much as religious fundamentalist/extremist praises and say they promote “love”, we get to understand that they actually don’t. Any value and principals praised is only to control people. Because if they were ever really had true love in their heart and soul, they’d love every single god’s creation. Fundamentally, they teach hate, division, literal devaluation of some human beings, over others… who does that? That’s what got me, personally. I was so disgusted (disgusted doesn’t really make it), by it, by those people that engage in it, promote and protect it. I couldn’t, my life and safety got threatened, as I was assaulted, for “not following the principles she expected me to” (aka asking for divorce, from abusive husband/father of my 2 also abused children… coming from a “mother” that, mind you, has cheated on my father 🤫 that’s the hypocrisy I can’t do anymore) by which she felt “threatened” (aka “her reputation threatened”). So to me, it eventually came to losing my entire family, because of course, she made sure to distort everything, defame me so disgustingly unbelievable, and made sure to spread all the lies needed to get what she wanted. She doesn’t have the brain capacity to even understand how all of this says everything about her, not me.
