This is fantastic! Love this new series. PS- My older sister passed away when her kids were almost in high school. She always had a morbid sense of humor and her kids definitely got that from her. One time my nephew, when he was in 12th grade, set up some dude in his class to ask his little sister, (in 9th grade) "How fast can your mom run the mile?". She was in on it and responded by bawling and said "My mom is in a wheelchair!" The guy was mortified and apologized profusely. Then she abruptly started laughing and said "Just kidding, she's not in a wheelchair, she's dead."- (Seriously coping with dark humor is not for everybody, but they did and honestly they are all surprisingly well adjusted adults.)

Saying no to a narcissist is very revealing they can't cope with boundaries. My impression was he just wanted sex but quite possibly a narcissist. Either way she did the right thing what she said was 💯 perfect it wasn't wrong at all. His reaction reveals him to be very disrespectful. We need to teach our kids how not to let ppl emotionally manipulate them. She reacted perfectly. She just calmly said what she really wanted - no ppl pleasing.

I was driving down a hill and the road was empty. I kept trying to find a song on my ipod so I would take my eyes off the road for a moment. A moment is all it took. I drove into a deep ditch and flipped my car on the side. And a police officer came over the following hill just as I flew into the ditch. I blamed a cat and said “it ran across the road and I tried to swerve.” I was really trying to find “I want you” by Savage Garden.

After 2 hours of my mom's friend walking through the store and touching every single item in the store they went to check out. By the time we got to the register I couldn't find the patch I was so frustrated and figured I must have set it down in boredom. I got home and emptied out my pockets and there was the patch. I was so so upset that I had stolen something! I called my mom and confessed to my crime! Oh and I was 21.

This totally made me day! I’ve been in and out of the hospital several times in the last few weeks. (I have a super rare blood clotting disorder.) My younger sister, who was my bestest friend, passed away from the same disorder (she hadn’t been diagnosed with it yet) in February 2020. I’m to the point in my grieving process that when I talk to my kids about her, I’m always laughing at the crazy stuff we did when we were kids. (What I’m saying is, that I don’t want people to feel sorry for me. I feel blessed that I was able to spend 37 years with her.) I honestly think she’d be disappointed in me if I don’t start acting like her ghost is hanging out with us sometimes. This is my new goal in life. Mission accepted! 👻👻👻😂

I think my friend and I were about 18 when we did this.... My friend was dating this guy, nothing serious, but he blew her off and we were bored so we called him from a payphone and then drove by the apartment complex where he lived. We saw his truck was parked with the windows cracked so we parked and got out an always pad and different shades of red and red-brown lipstick to make the pad look used. Then I snuck up and put it through the guy's truck window. We still laugh about it and it's over 20 years later. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Okay this isn't something I did but I was involved: My friend and I were in a club dancing & there was a girl in this black & white striped shirt dancing next to us. My friend very loudly says to me "OMG this girl's shirt makes her look like Beetlejuice!" and we both crack up laughing. And of course despite the loud music going on around us, the girl hears it and asks my friend "Um, did you just say I look like Beetlejuice?" And my friend says "Noooo I was telling her I liked your shirt!". The girl kinda just looked at us and went about her dancing. End of story right? Nay nay....at the end of the night when the lights came on we hear "Daaaay-O!" and we look at each other like "WTF? No way this is a coincidence...". I look up at the dj booth (it was up some stairs on a little balcony thing) and there she was, leaned over the rail staring down at us with the most smug look on her face she just got the last laugh. And honestly she did. It was one of the funniest moments of my life.

This was hilarious - I needed that laugh. I had an ex boyfriend in high school who cheated on me and he was really proud of his late model Pontiac Firebird. I purchased a horrific bumper sticker, and while he was at work, I got busy with my mission. He backed into his parking spot and always took up two spots, so I was able to sneak around and put the bumper sticker on..but instead of putting it on the chrome bumper, I put it on the paint. He drove around with a bumper sticker that said, “my mom is worth her weight in chocolate chip cookies!” until one of his friends pointed it out. He was so mad.

I still feel so awful about this. When I was 12 I was skipping rocks at a pond near our house and this poor little duck flew right into my line of fire and I accidentally smoked it square in the head. I immediately started sobbing and the duck just swam away, but then my mom told me that it probably went off somewhere to die and I felt like a monster. Also when I was 12, bonus confession, I was friends with this girl who was extremely religious and she invited me to this ceremony where her and a bunch of other people were getting baptized in the ocean. It was a really hot day and she told me we could go swimming, but then they told us that we weren’t allowed to because of the ceremony, so I faked a religious epiphany and got baptized just so I could get in the water. I’m an atheist.

I left work one night with her one night and she offered to drive me home since it was late and I didn't have a car and had a mile or so walk home. Her and I were walking down the street (we had street parking on the roads outside) and while walking I pointed to a red PT cruiser and said in my nerdiest voice "oh hey, *snort* check out this sick PT Loser." To which she responds "that's my PT Loser..." I was so embarrassed and felt awful. She didn't care, but it was so awkward as we had only known each other a week and wee new friends lol

Just went and looked and said it wasn't really noticeable. This was several years ago.. idk if I ever told her the truth. Since I'm the mom I didn't have one excuse for my awful behavior.

I had the pregnancy thing happen to me. I had given birth to my first daughter a month before I had to be a bridesmaid in one of my best friends wedding. We could wear any dress we liked as long as it was purple. I found one I felt OK in, but I had been so depressed about my body since my baby had been born, I felt fat & hideous & really didn't even want to go to the wedding. Well, the day came. I got all dolled up & in my dress & actually felt pretty decent about how I looked. I got to the the venue & set my baby down in a quiet spot (within my sight) so she could finish her nap in her carseat & then helped direct some guests to the ceremony site. A woman I knew came in, she gave me a hug & then to my horror, she patted my flabby saggy postpartum belly & said, 'oooooh any day now!' Fighting back tears, I pointed to my sleeping baby & said, 'actually, she's right there'. She started apologizing profusely, I told her it was fine, asked my husband to watch the baby & went to the bathroom to cry, the tiny shred of self confidence I had had, flushed down the toilet. I ended up dropping out of the next wedding I was supposed to be in.

@@sheelfjohnson seriously. The only thing you should say to pregnant women is how amazing they look or something along those lines & never anything about pregnancy unless you are 100% sure they are in fact, pregnant. While pregnant I also had a woman say 'any day now!' when I was 5 month along. I was asked CONSTANTLY if I was sure I wasn't having twins & how huge I was. I'm 5'2 & normally a size 4, I'm a petite human being, so I do get that my belly probably looked a little disproportionately large, but still. No woman wants to hear how enormous she is! Pregnancy is wild, your body is doing all of these crazy things including things nobody ever talks or warns you about & to have people making comments on your body or touching you without your consent just makes everything so much worse. I'm always especially blown away when that kind of stuff comes from other moms, like out of everyone, shouldn't they know better?!
@courtneygonzales7731
@courtneygonzales7731 2 жыл бұрын
@@monstermcboo7282 thank you! It was pretty heartbreaking at the time, postpartum was so much harder for me than pregnancy & body image was a huge part of that. Our culture is so messed up about post pregnancy bodies, we're expected to just bounce back instantly & look perfectly put together all while being a perfect mom, it's so messed up. It took me a year to lose the weight from my first & over 3 after my second & I'm actually smaller than I was before kids, but my body will never be the same & that's OK! I've learned to love myself just the way I am & my daughter's are worth it all. We really need to normalize the reality of postpartum bodies & give moms the love & support they deserve after giving birth. I'm still bummed out that I wasted so much energy stressing over & hating my body after my babies were born. I let that get in the way of my happiness & it put a dark cloud over what should have been some of the happiest times of my life. If I could go back in time I would tell myself that the weight WILL eventually come off & to just focus on loving my new baby soaking in all those sweet moments because they go so quickly & it's something you can never get back. What we look like isn't what's important, what's important is living in the moment, what we do with our lives, how we treat others & finding happiness in the day to do. Life is too short, external beauty will eventually fade, but internal beauty is infinite.

Me and my friend in high school would go out and get into trouble when bored on weekends and just drive around and one night we decided to steal a whole bunch of political signs as well as some street signs and pile them into her small eclipse and drove to a church near my parents house and set them all up.. we did this until there were at least 50 signs all over the property. There was a reward for a long time for info on who did it. A few weeks later we took road closed signs and those things are HARD to move and had some help from some guys and we moved them from one street over to the street directly across my parents and set them up for the sole purpose that there was a dairy truck that came like clockwork every night at 4:00 am just so we could sit on the roof outside my bedroom to watch and wait for the dairy truck to come and have to turn around.. I still find it funny but also not proud.

After finding out that my best friend's girlfriend cheated on him for more than a year I took bleach (we have a thick gel like bleach product named Domestos in South Africa) and wrote "slut" on her very expensive new lawn. No matter how many times she tried to get that grown out the word would still appear in the new grass, like karma coming back to remind her what she is. In the end she had to take the lawn out and replace it with paving.

In 2019 I was talking to this guy, on an emotional level. I was best friends with his cousin’s gf. She and I had a mutual friend. Turns out the guy I was talking to was also talking to the mutual friend on a physical level. The girl and I found out what he was doing. I was mad, and like the weirdo I am I carry several cans of Pinã Colda scented glitter hair-spray in my purse. I decided to spray everything he owned in glitter. His bedding, his tooth brush, his closet, his tv, his PlayStation, his bedroom carpet, his sound board, his gaming pc, etc. when I say everything I mean everything. Nothing in that apartment was safe. I almost used up a whole can. I then proceeded to steal his Sephora eyeliner, his fave scrunchie, and his fave t-shirt. The mutual friend also stole his fave hoodie. Needless to say i don’t think he got his deposit back. That glitter will be there another six years. Am I proud of myself? No. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. On the bright side, I dodged a bullet there because now I’m happily married to the love of my life. 🥺❤️
