I’m a straight man that didn’t have a gf to get me into skincare, but I did have Hyram tho 😎🙌🏻 Lemme tell u I went from having no routine, using a scrub on my face daily, with the addition of apple cider vinegar as a “toner” with no moisturizer or sunscreen, (2016 was a horrible time for me 💀) to a basic routine in 2020, (only a cleanser and moisturizer) to using k-beauty products and sunscreens. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence has my heart 🫶🏻

I feel you! Am a fellow straight man. Recently I stumbled upon hyram, beauty within, dray, eunisoo and some others that have helped me a TON on my skincare journey. I went from using st ives exfoliator to having a multi-step routine and even trying out some kbeauty brands. I had no idea using sunscreen on the face daily was a thing, lol. I even went to a local kbeauty shop to pick up some goodies and some nourishing essence/hydrating masks! I'm typing this while waiting for my "Im From mugwort mask" to dry on my face lolol. I hope we get to the point where taking care of your skin is not looked as being feminine/gay. I think it's trending in the right direction with the help of our youtube content creators, though. Dope content Hyram and thank you brother!

@@beastily2 That is awesome dude! I never used St Ives I used the AcneDote face and body scrub 💀 It was horrible, I would scrub so roughly thinking my acne would just disappear. (it didn’t 🥲) Had a good amount of damage from it but luckily retinol and chemical exfoliation came in clutch for me. I feel u on the sunscreen part, I was always told growing up by my parents that u only need to wear it when ur going to the beach or the pool. Ended up finding out that’s false info later on haha and so glad i did. Hydrating masks are def my fav, so glad I discovered k-beauty cuz the ranges are amazing. Me too bro! I'm a straight guy with a girlfriend. My girlfriend has had a "skincare routine" for a while, but I actually helped her step it up by explaining what each active does, and what she should include for each specific concern, from watching channels like yours, Hyram. Oh, and I also recently started wearing make up too lmao (just a little for a natural look). Fuck toxic masculinity and fuck anyone who tries to box me into a "straight, cis man" box. I'm expected to look good from the neck down (I do go to the gym 6 days a week, do a lot of cardio and watch what I eat), but you're not allowed to do anything from your neck up other than get a haircut every few weeks? Ridiculous.

Wow, Im so proud of them. I really rarely see straight guys use sunscreens or skin care at all…..Sunscreens are sooo important. My mom is a pharmacist and my dad is a doctor, both of them had really bad acne, but you cannot see any kind of scarring on their skin, cuz they took really good care of their skin. They taught me a looot. My mom still looks sooooo young, she doesn’t have wrinkles at all (even if it is genetics, she is taking care of her skin). You can literally see her hard work paid of. (She is almost 60 years old by the way.) I began with light moisturizers and sunscreens, when I was a child. Later, I got bad acne on my whole body, and my mom immediately helped me and searched for a good dermatologist. I have almost no scarring, only on my shoulders, cuz those cyst’s were the biggest. I hope everyone has a nice day/evening and hard work pays of. 😌💖

its really nice to see other men also starting to take care of their skin. I started fixing my skincare routine two years back when I found your channel and I finally cleared up my brutal acne. I do have a question though cause I cant seem to find an answer anywhere: The days when I'm too lazy to do my skin it's neither dry nor oily, when I used salicylic acid my skin would get extremely dry, it would not absorb hydrators even if I put Vaseline over after my moisturizer, so I swaped it out for glycolic acid which instead makes my skin feel dehydrated but oily. @morgianasartre67092 жыл бұрын
If you use actives like exfoliants that make your skin more sensitive then yes, if you care about avoiding wrinkles then also yes as the uv index really just measures your likeliness to burn, not really taking into account the uvA rays and their impact on collagen in your skin. But realistically if that is the case and you are staying inside most of the time it doesn't have to be spf 50 several times a day, a moisturiser with spf 30 once a day would do just fine.

I live in Kazakhstan and I never really had crushes on guys in my city no matter what race or ethnicity they are. Generally men here are very homophobic (but most of them learned to keep their opinions to themselves) and whatever someone does they always say "that's gay!". So mostly they wear sports clothes, darker colours, don't use skincare. Men in Russia are similar but at least they do skincare, haircare and dress more stylish. I wasn't noticing it until they started moving to Kazakhstan to run from mobilisation. Many of them were supporting the war in Ukraine just a couple of months ago. Also historical relations between Russia and Kazkahstan are complicated (after all we were their colony). So it is an unspoken rule these days not to date guys from Russia because they might be using you to get citizenship. But OMG they are so hot. I can spot a guy from Russia from miles away because they always look so goooood. Clear skin, healthy hair, stylish clothes! Local men look like they are homeless because they think that skincare "is gay"

My brother usually uses my face wash but I walked into the bathroom and he was straight up using body wash 😭
